I'm not sure. A meerkat would probably make more sense of it than the FA.

You lot think you're passionate about the Saints..............my wife was painting a picture frame whilst listening to the match on Radio Solent, after Charlie scored she daubed 'SFC 1 MUFC 0' on our ceiling! Which, was, of course, fine. However, she did it before the final whistle which I thought was tempting fate a bit.

Just in case you think we are totally mad, we are decorating so the ceiling is up for painting but I might postpone it a while so we can add to it when we beat the Arse.

Well we've got walking football and blind football, seems obvious naked football is up next.

On another point even my poor expectations of the Monday paper reports were exceeded.
A special mention for the "match" report in the 'i' paper, in a 900+ word report they only mentioned Saints in the context of playing Utd. They did manage a single mention of RK in the context of falling out with LvG. They did not mention a single Southampton player (not even Mane going to Utd!) once, not even Austin scoring the only goal of the game. Hey ho.

Well done to your wife. Showing proper belief instead of quaking in her boots. There's a few on here who could have a bit more. :)

If dried, when you paint over the daubing with the same colour there might be a permanent outline.

Just watched that goal again. We're all aware that that Charlie evaded the attentions of McNair, but there were two defenders who were completely fooled. Jose took the other away with clever decoy play. Can you guess who it was? I'll tell you if you can't [reveal below - FLT's new trick]:

Dear, oh dear it was our Morgan Schneiderlin

And a miserly defence too. Not uncommon for teams to come away goalless.

Speaking as a competitive amateur (a competitive individual rather than playing at a particularly competitive level), I find it actually pretty hard in the heat of battle, or after a bit of a tussle, when someone is beating you for pace in an important position (such as last man) to not pull their shirt a bit. Particularly when tired toward the end of a game with the scores level or close. It's almost instinct - all you can do is realise and let go. I never do it cynically, but often find myself doing it without realising. And am also often on the receiving end.

I reckon he has a rogue positive profile too. He switches depending on what the team is doing.

It's ok as long as you don't get caught or do it against Saints

I noticed straight away who the other midfielder was defending at that corner. I also noticed at the time that he had a handful of Jose's shirt ... he certainly knows what is underneath that :)

I think you might end up managing to stop that instinctual behaviour if the referee made it worth your while. :)

That article read as if the journo has actually done some proper research and had also seen the team play on several occasions. Amazing.!
