Jimmy Bain from Rainbow and Dio (among others) this time - aged 68 Another one who partied himself out - RIP.... (Edit: sorry, forgot to do the "off topic" thing and don't know how to edit that)
He'll be vying with Lemmy and Phil Lynott as to who plays Bass at the Great Gig In The Sky Rising is one of my all time favourite and most played albums hence my Avatar picture, and Stargazer one of the finest rock tracks ever. Thanks for the music Jimmy and RIP
Except of course that at THAT gig they will all play bass, with Bowie, Lennon and Harrison doing harmonies for Morrison. a kind of Live Aid in the sky = SkyAid !
R.I.P Colin Vearncombe also known as Black with a hit Wonderful Life.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-35414315
Wasn't a huge fan other than THAT song but still recognise his status in music. Aged 70 this time so all same age within a year or so, what the hell did they do at those parties....!
maybe all the famous people we have known are on their way out when they hit a certain age? all the singers celebrating Birthdays in their late 60's should push the boat out?
Looks like it but pushing the boat out is probably what did it in the first place...! Copious amounts of coke and booze and other stuff = max 70...!
ha, it seems something is going on twitter and spreading the news, I will learn to look before i leap!
There has been a lot of this going round at the moment, someone put one up for Leslie Neilson the other day on Facebook everyone saying RIP to him but he's been gone since November 2010. Saw the Joe Cocker one the other day it's like someone's setting up everybody with a sick game.
I used to listen to Wogan on my commute to Reading in 2004 - whenever he played the 'Janet and John' stories I could hardly drive - I had tears of laughter running down my face! RIP Terry
