I sat and watched that clip for a good couple of minutes, silky technique. On the subject of Alli I'd estimate he's worth about 30 million currently, it was a great volley but he's not a 50 million pound player yet for me.
I don't think money is a yardstick for a player's value anymore, more what it would cost to remove the player from the club. Considering you'd be dealing with Levy, I think the guy would laugh in your face for £30m. Scholes is probably the only player I've ever known that money couldn't buy, United never needed the money and he never wanted to leave, he once told Inter's owner "If you want me to play for you, you'll have to buy Manchester United".
That's true, I didn't mean that 30 would be enough to buy him it's just my personal valuation. I'm not sure 50 would be enough, Levy would be thinking "if they'd pay 50 they'd pay 70".
For sure, if there's anything we've all learned about Levy it's that he loves the smell of money. He'll sell Kane and Alli like he sold Modric, Berbatov, Bale... the list will continue to grow, the trophy drought won't bother him one bit, he'll just tell the fans what they want to hear.
I am a massive Scholes fan but in my opinion Gazza was the complete player, he could tackle which was the one thing weak in Scoles game.
Scholes wasn't a fat drunk who had to go and play in Scotland because this league was far too quick for him.

Said it many times. It was the best bit of business we did throughout the summer. Lee Congerton, that was a masterstroke - makes me think he could have done a cracking job given the resources.
Getting our money back on him and swapping Jozy for Defoe are the best business in half a decade imo.
