I'm now picturing a T-shirt that says "It's gin and tonic, not gin and Tony", in the style of the bible-bashers' "Adam and Steve" one.

both boro and derby's form has dropped since the opening of this xfr window. Both appear to be very active in said market - msg to current players that they are not considered good enough? coincidence?

Boro have only signed one player this window, he's only just signed and hasn't played yet and I doubt the players worry too much about all the made up nonsense in the papers.

    Harsh on Hayden and Snodgrass...

Allan McGregor: Excellent low save kept out Cairney's first-half effort but it was his acrobatic stop to keep out O'Hara's late free-kick that earned the Tigers all three points. Two big contributions from the flying Scot. 7

Moses Odubajo (starman): Saved City's skin with a fine covering tackle to keep out Kacaniklic and then found the spark for City to win it when his run ended in City winning a penalty for Hernandez to win it. A big player in his side's victory. 8

Harry Maguire: All of City's best performers could be found in defence and Maguire was among them. Enjoyed blocking Fulham's path to goal and almost enhanced his popularity when sending a header just wide after the break. 7

Curtis Davies: With Dawson and Bruce readying themselves for comebacks in the FA Cup, this was a timely reminder of Davies' value. Led by example in a resolute defensive performance from City, grinding out another clean-sheet. 8

Andy Robertson: Not one of the Scot's best performances coming forward but always diligent in his duties at the back. Improving all the time as a defender and ensured Fulham were denied hope down his flank. Played his part again. 7

Robert Snodgrass: Again preferred to Elmohamady on the right flank and showed some neat touches to stretch Fulham on occasions. Grew frustrated when fed scraps after the break, but his set-piece almost brought a goal for Maguire. 6

Jake Livermore: The captain has grown accustomed to dominating opponents but not on this occasion. Fulham's sharp passing game in midfield forced City on to the back-foot and forced Livermore into a containing role. 6

Isaac Hayden: Retained in central midfield but struggled to hit the heights of Charlton seven days earlier. Too often asked to chase Fulham in possession as the home midfield controlled proceedings smartly. Booked for a late tackle. 6

Sam Clucas: Unlike previous outings, the winger left only a minimal imprint on this game. City enjoyed little joy down the left flank and contributions of note could be counted on one hand. No faulting his work-rate, as usual. 6

Mo Diame: Carved open the Fulham defence with an early pass that set Hernandez clear but in the main it was a frustrating afternoon. Fulham's dominance of possession cramped him for time on the ball but almost grabbed a second late on. 6

Abel Hernandez: Guilty of missing City's best chance from open play when denied by Lonergan one-on-one but showed he is the man for the big moment when converting a late penalty to win it. Eight in eight now for the striker. 7

    Subs

Tom Huddlestone (for Hayden 70): Added some composure to City's midfield in the closing stages. 6

Ahmed Elmohamady (for Hernandez 82): Knows he needs a big game when the Tigers travel to Bury this weekend. 6

Alex Bruce (for Snodgrass 90): A tactic of winding down the clock ahead of a return in the FA Cup. 6

Giving the three subs, especially Junior, a 6 makes the whole article ****e.

If Junior merits a 6 for 2 minutes work then the other players are worthy of 10s & 9s in comparison.

you are prob right, just seems a coincidence that boro and derby fortunes have plummeted since 1 Jan, I know if I was being reported as being part of a trade I wouldn't be playing at 100%.

LBIA - I have no idea what you're on about
