Can you guys remember the red lot blaming Lee Johnson a few years back? His fault for everything! Guess who the current favourite is for their next manager job? http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/bristol-city/next-permanent-manager I blame Lee Johnson
The city supporters I used to work with hated him with a passion, cant see them taking to him just because he is possibly going to be head coach
Not what you want really (if i was a red fan) to save you from relegation. I thought it was going to be a big name, someone who would easily save them and push for promotion to the prem next season. Definately didnt see this coming, which I think is making me enjoy this even more! I feel for their fans though. Especially those on here who I have much respect for. They deserve better.
Lee Johnson gets the job. He sits around the dinner table with his dad.... LJ: "Dad, do you remember when you got City to the Championship play off final?" GJ: "Yes son, that was good times!" LJ: "Well, what happened to you after?" GJ: "I got sacked son." LG: "Guess what dad?" GJ: "What son?" LJ: "City offered me the managers job!" GJ: "Congratulations son, I think." LJ: "So, do I get revenge for you by relegating them or shall I do well and get the respect back to our family name?" GJ: "Son (while shaking LJ's hand ), or shall I call you Agent Lee? "
According to Sky Sports Monk and Sherwood in the frame although they have not been approached by City
They want to get the 'Tin Man' back in some sort of capacity, I thought he was pretty good for them. I felt a little sorry for him at the end as I thought he was harshly treated by the then powers that be.
I just can't believe that those in charge at City couldn't see this coming. Simply put, if they had real ambition they'd be aiming much higher than a L1 manager with no Championship experience.
He may end up being great. Have to wait and see. But I personally rather have a manager who has more experience than LJ, especially experience of the championship. Also a manager who can pull in decent players from his contacts, players who not only will keep them up but push on for a promotion push next season. I wouldnt be happy at all with having LJ.
