They had that big fella up front who I quite rated. Think the last I saw of him he was at Forest - O'Grady I think?

based on our current form, we should be winning every game which would give us 3 points times the number of games left.. that would make it very hard for our competitors to catch us unless they played more games than us which is the case for Boro, so it's theirs to lose

It's looking good but I wouldn't say 'nailed on certainties'. Rivals have been having bad runs, importantly even in their home games. But I don't expect that to go on forever. And though we have less injuries than normal that's unlikely to last I suspect. We're in an international break and that's normally worth at least one niggling injury. The last break we had came at the wrong time as well. Need to get through this transfer window without losing Hernandez, and then pick up where we left off unlike last time. Somehow I expect the end of the season could be a close run thing but I hope I'm wrong.

We have the best squad in the league. We actually have a squad that should survive in the prem quite comfortably. If we don't get promoted it's an absolute catastrophe. We should be walking it like the season Newcastle went down and walked it. This isn't blind optimism or bias to my own team, it's a fact given the money spent and the talent we have in our ranks.
This is further backed up by the fact we've only played to our potential a handful of times this season and we're still top. Now let's go on a big unbeaten run and win this league with our ****ing eyes closed!

What do you mean? Going up? The Premier League is ****. The matchday experience is ****. A long term stay in the Premier League will soon become boring, speak to some Stoke supporters if you need clarification.

If you're suggesting I don't want us to go up, you're wrong. I'll endure it while it lasts. What's meant is that I prefer the football days out in the lower leagues rather than the Premier League where you have to listen to watered down supporters talking about the stars on show such as Dele Ali, Harry Kane etc & mention how much money the Premier League is worth within 30 seconds of the first mention of getting into the Premier League. The bastard over zealous & power happy stewards don't help either.

The Premier League & all it stands for is ****.

Its still way too early to say. I still think we're poor away from home. Yesterdays game against Fulham proved that, even though we won, Fulham looked the better side for the majority of the game. On another day, we'd have lost that one and the penalty wouldnt have saved us.

We still need to play Burnley, Boro and Derby all away..

In the first round of fixtures, against the current bottom 8 (bottom third) we dropped 13 points. Against the rest of the league, the other two thirds, we dropped 12 points.

Forget Burnley, Derby, Boro. It's Bolton, MK Dons, Bristol and Rotherham we need to watch out for.

The next month will be crucial. Of the home games the 3 in February on paper look the toughest of the remaining ones, plus tricky aways at Burnley, Blackburn and Ipswich. If where in the top two after this then we are going up!!

I get all of that. I prefer this division too. But as a club, we can only ever strive to be the best.

We'll never be the best, but what else is there?

    I'll cut to the Chase.

Should we throw games in order to stay in this more enjoyable Championship?

That seems to be the only alternative that I can think of.

Will we go up.....i hope so. Would love the 2 juniors get to see City win a league.

But like Mr Ben i wont be pissed off if we dont.

    Loving this season..

NEVER been told to sit down once by stewards away from home this season and cost wise its better in the Championship.

Anyway we have a good chance of going up...though theres a long way to go yet.

Middlesbrough have only one game in hand. If we win all our matches they can't catch us.

It was ****, but in roughly 35 years, I can think of about 126 games that where I felt significantly worse.

    No
But people shouldn't expect everyone to care too much if, at the end of the season, we're still here
