Protests at full time were excellent both in terms of numbers and hostility We need a home defeat now to spur people to take things to the next level. The match itself was a drab bore. Credit to Riga for having us better organised this week. Blackburn were poor and unambitious. We huffed and puffed but Watt was Watt, picking the ball up too deep and thinking he was Maradona v England in 1986. He has a footballing brain the size of a pea. No idea why Birdsh1T was recalled other than Jose wanted to have a look. JBG was useless again -truly going through the motions. Its a mini league of 5 now - forget the rest - are we really better than 3 of Bristol City, Bolton, MKD and Rotherham?
I sit behind the guy who got kicked out the stadium and also had his season ticket confiscated, I didn't see that banner he had up but have been told it said we want our Charlton back. Apparently the 'owners' found it offensive (all the way from Belgium) and was asked to take it down, after a brief discussion in which the steward had actually grabbed the guys arm it was taken down. But it didn't stop there and a few more comments were shared, unfortunately I was too far away so couldn't hear, but the steward walked off, a few minutes later stewards and police escorted the man out. All the fans jeering and booing the decision and have been told others had followed him out and it kicked off a bit between fans / police and stewards, a few punches were thrown as well I believe but not sure if there is any truth in this or not.
Truely disgusting behaviour by the club. It's very much us and them now. Lets have 300 banners for the next home game.
Did Bergbitch put a shift in and look capable of sustaining it? I dislike him hugely, but by admission can no longer comment on him long term.
He actually did OK surprisingly enough not good but OK A very average game between too very poor teams if that's best we can do after the worst of last week we have no hope
I think that yesterday was about getting confidence in the team that they can score goals and don't have to ship 6 per game. If that was the case it worked to a degree since they defended much better than the display I saw at Huddersfield. Key to that was getting Mahatma Johnson out of the team and rid of Waster Williams. Teixeira certainly gave confidence to Lennon and things should improve in that department . Vaz Te didn't start which was a blessing since Igor showed 100% more commitment than him. Watt showboated a lot and didn't look up to pass but appeared dangerous. If Watt can get that there is no I in Team he could become a feared player in the championship however IF is a big word. Megan Fox certainly played his best game in a while. In Jacko, Solly and Cousins you could see some confidence returning. Some of the players appear mystified by the Card/black and white protest. So some effort should be made by those with twitter connections to ensure that the players understand that it is not aimed at them but at Dr Frankenstien and his hand maiden Ivana ( as in "Ivana lie to you").
I wasn't at the game, but the goal once again came from his side. He makes it far far too easy for a wideman to get a cross in.
To be fair Fox wasn't to blame for the goal, yes it came down his side, but he had to mark 2 men because Bergdich didn't track runner
I only caught a glimpse on SSN. I didn't see the build up I only saw Fox running out to the winger so just assumed he was too narrow as he usually is. Apologies Morgan!
http://www.cafc.co.uk/news/article/statement-2922024.aspx Club statement regarding security concerns on Saturday. I heard about the guy manhandled for having his banner out - am shocked to see the club take this stance. Surely it can't have been as bad if they are confidently dismissing it?
They'll argue that they have a duty of care to their staff, etc., etc., and hide behind that. The fact that no fan is being prosecuted or investigated by the police indicates that they don't want the attention on this. They'll try and sweep it under the rug.
Its the latest of Meire's petty reprisals against the 'customers' - she had a good week what with blocking CL on the CAFC Wifi, and banning Louis Mendez The plan this week is to reduce the chips portion size from 14 to 13, and get Richard Murray to p1ss in the beer again.
