For those who say it can't get any worse, I've got some bad news. It can and will. History tells us that. I had warned of the post fergie chaos and we have not obviously reached the bottom yet. We will go through many managers and upheavals and rebuilding. We should expect slumps but it would think slumps similar to those post Busby ones would be countered by the GGs and the executive. I can't be sure now when the chavs can slump so badly even as champions. The RS are living such instability post "boot room" and theirs is 25 years long and on going. They provide the silver lining. And I will be forever grateful to Stevie for that slip, otherwise that period will have come to an end. And kloppyflop' team is no better than Rodgers'. Grateful for small mercies
But surely he was (and I quote) "going to do the decent thing and leave himself"? Weren't we told this by @UnitedinRed, the one person who knows Van Gaal better than anyone on here (despite being wrong about everything Van Gaal from start to finish)?? Where is the trolling twonk anyway??? Our one and only true United supporter... through thick and thin???? Those pearls of wisdom are missed on here.
It's not the result or the position (although that is ddamning considering the poor standard of the league this season), what's totally unacceptable is the manner in which we play, the fear which LVG has instilled like a cancer among our squad, the lack of ideas, the complete contempt he has for each and every one of our players. That's the worst United performance I've ever witnessed. And I include Moyes tenure in that. If we had played our hearts out, in an expansive, free-flowing attacking way and lost 0-3, I would have readily accepted that than the manner in which we lost 0-1 yesterday.
Sexton played ok football at Chelsea but I know a lot of United fans disliked his football. There again a lot of chelsea fans disliked sexton compared to his predecessor Tommy docherty
As I have said on here before, unfortunately for you guys your squad is fairly average with only a couple of outstanding players, while the Premiership chasers have now got the money to strengthen squads and close the gap.
Yep. It is true. And the gap will should get smaller when the new sky deal comes in next season makes the odds more even next season. United had a huge financial advantage and blew the money. Their advantage will still be big next season but other clubs budgets will increase by 30 pc
Do you really think you have spent that £300m well. You have no aguero silva Sanchez hazard etc... De gea and who else? A £60m wonder kid in Martial?
Well if we were languishing in a potential relegation battle you may have a point But despite our manager being a complete fckwit we're still not far off the top. Being completely objective - other than a backup RB, a proven centre forward and a new manager, I really can't find fault in our squad. If I was being picky I'd say another quality CB to partner Smalling. As a squad that is minimal.
Also @CFC: Champions of FFP it's like Chelsea in some ways. The players aren't suddenly sh1t. You see a squad that lost belief in their manager (Mourhino) and wouldn't play for him. Then the next guy comes in and although you see some improvement bcos they're good players. It's hard for them to snap out of it to full effect bcos the weaknesses they've developed are there, but given time they will. It's lightly different at United in the sense that the players aren't overtly revolting against the manager, but the overall effect is still the same. We have a very good squad of players who have been brow beaten into a rut they can't get out of. But they will, given time with a new manager.
Don't need anyone to set the standards thanks. Typical arrogant Sky 4 Kaant. If its standards your looking for then they are set. Just not how you want them or by whom. Now the current standard is 14 to 22 points better than your **** standards. That should be easy enough to grasp.
