The win made my day, despite a poor game.Came home and celebrated. The win ruined your day though didn't it made you grumpy and moody.
He scored 2 in 18 games last season and 8 in 24 this season - so over a season and a half he has scored 10 from 42 or a goal every 4 matches. Not quite as bad as LL suggested, but he's not far off the mark Now it's a shame that 4 of those 10 goals were pens - that means he's only scored 6 from 42 in open play which is 1 in every 7 games and would mean Leeds Lover was bang on the money
Apols accepted, but not really necessary. What your Apols show are, A) you, like everyone else are prone to making mistakes, in this instance, your reference to Evans, as you quite rightly pointed out was not clear and came across as having a different meaning, which led to an appropriate reply in reply to how your reference came across. B) You apologise when you think the need arises, in this instance, you recognised, and admitted your mistake, which I totally respect. Don't get me wrong Jocky boy, this is in no way a dig. I listened to the interview and heard Evans give his reasons for still playing a lone striker, didn't Evans say Anti was away in Italy for 3 days while his wife was having a baby, I heard the female commentator say 3 days as well. I doubt very much we only have 3 strikers on books, imo Evans played 1 striker up front with the intention of playing 1 striker up front, if he had intentions of playing 2 strikers then Anti would've been picked along side Duke; 3 days away doesn't reduce fitness to make a difference. I believe had Wood been training longer then he would've got the nod over Duke. As for Duke not going any where near the 2x 6'8" CBs, I think that would be good thinking on Dukes part, it's called getting away from your man, also, why would a striker want to mix it with 2x 6'8" CBs. Evans it seems is virtually obsessed with the lone striker formation, yet when we need to catch up, or it's obvious the lone striker formation isn't working, he brings on subs and reverts to 4-4-2, virtually every game. That tells me, and probably some others that we should play 4-4-2 from start. In regards to the commentator having a bad game, sorry Jock, I disagree, making excuses for Wood, or any other player is detrimental to whole team. The lone striker formation has done nothing as far as results are concerned, and haven't since Redders was picking that formation. Woods performance, a player who wins a corner, or 2 in succession as you mentioned either, couldn't get his crosses in, rushes the cross/pass aimlessly or, gets stuck in the corner with no where to go (I heard no mention of Woods shots being deflected for a corner) did Wood manage a shot? Woods assist to Duke was mentioned, the other you mentioned would be debatable. Dukes header was also mentioned, but most know Dukes not prolific with his head. I admit I didn't know the Wood v Duke name checks, but I'm not deaf either, Wood was hardly mentioned but got a couple of mentions just before ref blew for full time. I don't hold bias towards Wood as you say, you seem to make subjective accusations a lot. If Wood was a good striker, scoring regularly and having continual impacts on games, do you think my opinion of him would be different/opposite, of course it would. I'm not the only one who holds my opinion/s on Wood, there are others, which means, as I've mentioned before, we all look at the game and players from different angles. Woods goals, 1 goal in 5 or 6 matches was slightly exaggerated and said tongue in cheek, but I'll give you that one.... however, if you discount his 2 penalties, which the tea lady shouldn't miss, he's scored 6 goals from open play in 23 appearances, which gives a close average of 1 goal in every 4 games, which is still well below par for a 3 mill striker. If Wood doesn't start scoring regularly then the goals to games ratio widens; it'll be interesting to see what the stats are at end of season. Slightly off topic, Antenucci has 24 appearances for 5 goals, roughly 1 goal in 5 appearances, however, he's only made 9 full starts and the rest are as sub; without doing the sums, if you compared Woods and Antenucci's minutes played for their goals, I think you'll find Antenucci comes out on top. Now, gis a big big kiss and cuddle....

To be honest it made no impact on my indifference. I expected us to win playing ****e boring footie. I said so earlier in the week. Didn't expect to get out played for long periods, not my fault you are easily pleased. Did enjoy watching scum losing on motd....
Listening to people around me yesterday, they were all talking about how much we have missed wood.He plays the lone striker role better than any of the others without any doubt, the Duke looked lost in the role but looked good with wood to play off.
Tell you what, Evans claimed we could have sold him five times. That would be a great trick and one we should surely have latched onto. Surprised Cellino missed out on that
How the hell are you lot 40m in debt. You didnt buy anything and have no proper professional footballers
I see the Wet shams are expecting 60k sell outs for all their matches next season. Should be some massacre the next time the bus load of wallies turn up for a fight at a cup match
