So right - now that ES has a football man on board in BSA and the club is slowly improving (little steps I know) and people call for his head - We Are Lumbered With slow & aged players In key positions - we need much change - a new owner would still need the changes - ES has supported previous managers - recent previous owners have failed here - eg Murray ,Cowie

I've made my feelings clear. This is no game for an empty ball sack. You stand still in this league you go backwards and Short has stood back and watched every single club invest leaving us the worst team in the league and he's still pissing on about wages. <doh> We deserve to go down cause the man has no stones.

Johnson 10 million -- everyone owa the moon
Rodwell 10 million -- everyone creaming it
graham 5 million -- Most happy
Lens- 8 million-- everyone creaming it
Borini **** knars million - most everyone over the moon
Flecher- $12-14 million - most owa the moon

90% of transfers since he took over have been ****!!!

    all more then
    Ayew - free
    Austin - buttons
    etc
    etc
    etc
Good players dont have to cost $$$ , undeniable its hard to get some players up north.

I wouldn't be spending much if i was him until I was certain I had a bloke that could fix it.

He's inherited a ****ing MESS , had some ****e advice and now understandably a little shy with the cheque book. Lets hope no matter what happens we keep BSA , cos IMO a bit continuity with a bloke who knows the **** he is doing and can sniff out a bargain is what we need.

Saying that ... Get your hand out your pocket you tight fisted yankee bastard and back the big man

The difference between value and price disappeared from football decades ago and we got caught up in the need for top price players rather than gathering a squad of players as shown at Leicester, Watford, Stoke and others. In two seasons in the '50s we went from a Bank of England team to relegation despite having high priced international players. The players just would not do it for a disciplinarian manager just proving that there is no silver bullet solution. Just ask Chelsea and ManU at the moment.

Yes, Ted Purdon even preferred to play for Workington Town than play for that manager. Inside two years, every one of them had left, Colin Grainger being the last. Stan Anderson stayed a while because he was still a young local lad, but eventually even he went ... to Newcastle United!

Despite all our emotional frustrations & views we have a man at the helm in BSA who will get it right - from his MOD comments he's getting his teeth into & enjoying this challenge - KTF

Maybe if we all support and encourage
Maybe not if we all grumble & winge
Even though I m not happy with JR he looked terrified in case he messed up - & he did as he tends to do most of the time <doh>
We need to be positive or we fail - blind faith time

I'm not so convinced that he shy with the money, i think it's more to do with the FFP rules which he was a massive advocate of, Anyone know what the consequences are if we bust the FFP?
