Cannot believe you are calling livermores performance immense but hey ho.... You clearly have differing expectations for different team members. Jake was just as poor as Robbo. So can't understand why one would be 'immense' and one unbelievably bad. Nb no one on that pitch was immense. Moses looked better purely as others weren't as good as usual. Not because snoddy was playing instead of Elmo or any of the other nonsense being spoken. One bad performance and the people start slabbering ****e again. Top of the league, got away with it , just enjoy it.
First time I've seen us play live this season and completely agree with you about the CMF today. I'd expected us to dominate possession given Fulhams very poor defensive record, but we were overrun in the first half....70:30 possession to Fulham. Where was our vaunted MF I was wondering? Only staunch defending by Davies, Maguire, and an amazing rescuing block from Odubajo who came out of nowhere to deflect Kilinjacis (?) goalbound shot over the bar saved us from being 1-2 goals down at HT. Added to which our strike force that had overpowered pathetic Charlton a week ago was virtually non-existent, apart from one breakaway by Hernandez. If this is how we play on the road against bottom-third teams like Fulham (not forgetting Rotherham et al) promotion is certainly not assured IMO. The second half was much better and Odubajo's determination created the penalty that won us the game, but we are going to have to improve on todays performance to stay in the Prem if we go up. We made Fulham look good!!
Moses Diame Davies Outnumbered in midfield which made it difficult, but at least we kept together as a team- very much reminded of a lot of our away wins last time we got promoted
I couldn't see anyone outstanding in this game. Fulham appeared to have more of the game which, from where they are in the league and where we are, was surprising to say the least. Some of Robertson's through passes were really 'class' (really does need someone to work off and work to) and Abel should have scored from his 'one-on-one' but was unlucky I guess (made up for when he 'got lucky' with the penalty). Still think he is lightweight and is nowhere near Premier League class. Odjubado was 'Mr Everywhere' but not a lot of 'end product' although he did win the penalty that got us the points. We don't seem to be playing as a 'team' but we got the points and that's the main thing - especially with 'boro' losing. Livermore had a better game as did Diame, McGreggor and Snoddy (who appears to be finding his legs now). Harry and Curtis were solid at the back but Heyden and Clucas were a bit quiet. At a push I'd have to say Odjubajo, Diame and Snoddy. I honestly did not see anyone playing today who could be classed as an 'average' Premiership League Player.
They are deliberate spelling mistakes Quim (whoops, there goes another) to keep "Grammar Nazi's like you alert (and happy). You passed with flying colours and a set of 6 steak knives are on the way.
I don't know if that was a 'pun' Bengal but if it wasn't then you'd better know that I too am an ex-pat having left Hull for Oz almost 50 years ago. My views were from the Bein Sports 'live' telecast (which, for a change, I got one that was almost free of hiccups).
Fulham were good, their play in the final third let them down, but if they keep playing like they did yesterday they won't finish in the final third.
Exactly! The 'immense' Livermore who was totally anonymous in midfield all day! I don't know whether to laugh or cry at some of the opinions on here. The lack of football knowledge from some is frightening.
