Well he's having problems reading and he's talking crap,so you could be right but I thought it was his normal.
Attendance down to 20,441 today after 5 games unbeaten. That's another £200k loss for cellino to suck up.... What wheeze will he come up with now to tape over the cracks in his financial mismanagement. Anyone think cook will still be here come February?
Jocky boy, you're alive, yippee, it's so good to see you're not pushing up thistles. I really missed you, come here and give us a kiss and cuddle...... By the way, who's pillock, I don't remember Leeds signing him.....
Joking aside, you must be a dick if you judge a players performance by the number of times a commentator says his name For the record, him coming on completely changed the complexion of the game. I think it's fair to say that most who attended the match were delighted that he came on. And don't listen to Evans' comments - Doukara was as awful as everyone else in the first half. He only brightened up when Wood did all his work for him.
There you go Jock, you gave your opinion, which I fully respect of course..... but then you tell people not to listen to Evans comments in regards to Duke. I remember not so long ago, you tried telling me I should listen to the professionals...... So this is where we're at, I have my opinion on Wood, you have yours, I have my opinion on Duke, you have yours, I have my opinion on Antenucci, you have yours etc etc etc.....that makes us pretty even, even though they're different, would you agree? Me personally, I prefer a striker who scores lots of goals and takes lots of shots, that way we can justify talking about aiming for promotion, but that's me, I prefer an attacking team; it was always my attitude when I played. Chances are, Evans will keep playing Wood in a lone striker position untill he realises we're getting no where, then he'll bring on a sub and change it to 4-4-2, like he does virtually every game. As I see it, Morison couldn't find the onion sack, so we have a De'Ja Vu, or groundhog day situation with Wood, slight difference is, Wood scores 1 goal in every 5 or 6 matches, hardly promotion chasing performances by a 3 mill player, are they. There are other fans who also share my opinion on Wood. From my experiences, and these are just mine of course, but 9 times out of 10, when a player gets the ball the commentator mentions his name, they do same on telly too, but, Wood did get his name mentioned a couple of times just before ref blew for full time. It's good to see you alive and kicking.....
Apols. The reference I made to Evans was not clear. You have to listen to the full interview, where he slated the first half - i.e. everyone who played in it (compared it to the dentists)! He also said that Doukara had a great game, but this directly contradicts his assessment of the first half. Listening to the whole interview in context it is clear that he's only talking about Doukara's performance in the second half - i.e. when Wood came on to do the hard work for him. Doukara had not been anywhere near their 2x 6'8" CBs, and kept drifting out to the left, leaving no-one in the middle (I almost do not fault him for this - that's what we bought him for!). In the same interview, he explained why he stuck with 1 up front - Doukara was the only fit striker he had. Wood had only trained for 2 days, and Antenucci had been in Italy for 4 days as his wife gave birth. Otherwise, it appears that he was not going to play with 1 up front. Now to the substance of what we were originally talking about. You claim Wood played poorly on the basis that the commentator didn't mention his name often. Well, perhaps it was the commentator that had a bad game, 'cos Wood was heavily involved. He won 2 corners in quick succession, for example - was that mentioned? Was his assist to Doukara mentioned? Did the headers he won (Doukara won 1 in the whole match) get a mention? Did the tackling, running back to defend, clearances, running off the ball, roughing up giant CBs etc. get mentioned? Did you take into consideration that Doukara's name is mentioned often because he's always offside? Bet you most of it was missed. You cannot possibly assess a players performance based on name checks. Tell me this - what are the Wood vs Doukara name check stats in the second half? Bet you have no idea & it's only your subjective assessment, drowned in obvious bias. I'm tempted to track down the commentary to check. You have a thing about Wood in the same way glory has about Cellino. You only hear or see what you want to. Finally, you mention that Wood only scores in every 5 or 6 matches. Well, as he's scored 8, that means we've played 40 or 48 matches by your reckoning. You quite sure about this stat? Or have you just made it up to try to support your ridiculous argument? For the record, he's scored 8 in 23 starts.
How can you not sleep.... You post above was longer than war and peace, had nothing of substance in it, and had the rest of us nodding off despite getting a full 8 hours of zzzzzzzzzzzzzs. On your signature. You do know by this time next week we will be A) back to 17th B) out of the cup And C) we were the second best team yesterday, we got lucky. Only good thing was that Cellino lost £200k on gate receipts.......
did you work all that out while shopping or watching the ponies Glory ?.anyway you managed to get it all wrong again ;-)
