Louis Mendez @LouisMend 1h1 hour ago I've been asked to stop doing the #cafc commentaries for the club due to a conflict of interest.
Wow. Because he's been publicly critical? Any mention whether he can still carry out his SLP or BBC work?
Conflict of interest? Like Louis wanted us to lose? Or had to put a smiley face on another gutless surrender. This club is becoming a nasty place for some. Maybe Sue Parkes can commentate tomorrow.
Louis represented the club on a club service on CAFC Player, he understood the risks to him being able to commentate by asking some questions and writing certain views in his articles. It's a conflict of interest. He is fine with it, we have had a conversation via text. Fans are making a bigger deal out of this than he is, no need. This does not affect what he does for Charlton Live, in fact I feel it will give him more freedom when he writes for the local press.
Louis is a good guy if a little tame at times . He needs to read out more of my comments on Charlton Live, regardless of the libel laws. Another crass decision by the buffoons
Lets turn this into a positive Louis is no able to be far more open and frank than he was when working for them They cannot deny the fact that they are concerned by the criticism since they have taken action to expel it from within their own ranks. It proves that they are not listening to honest criticism from within either. Louis - there are many more outlets for your talents take this as an opportunity to maximise the output and become the media face of the protests.
But it's not though. When I joined the company I work for it was made clear that any negative comments towards them should not be put on social media or I would face serious consequences. I suspect most companies would have a policy along those lines and a football club is a company. It's a conflict of interest if you have a paid job at the club.
GP would know - and he's always been one of the most balanced individuals (not just in terms of his posts). One of the good guys. So let's take his words on board.
Previously it was't and they only get paid for home games, but the media boys fought hard for that to happen as Terry and co put a lot of work and time into doing it.
