NUFC team: Elliot, Janmaat, Lascelles, Coloccini, Mbemba, Sissoko, Saivet, Shelvey, Aarons, Wijnaldum, Mitrovic.
Bassong scored a 92nd minute equalizer, the Lallana got their 95th minute winner! I do think we will stay up but there's going to be lots of squeaky bum time!
The look of relief on AN's face when Bassong got that equalizer was great, but so soon it turned to despair. Great shame for him and the players.
Afternoon all. Just wanted to say thanks with helping me sort yesterday out. Went to the Flag by the junction and met my Newcastle mate down from Scotland. He was kind enough to wear a yellow jacket Went straight to the ground to get the tickets (as you advised ). Nearly heart attack when they said no tickets had been bought. Luckily had the email on the phone and soon got sorted. Then Que Pasa where we saw the first 7 goals of the Norwich match. Then the real thing and although in line and almost ground level with the vic end goal line we enjoyed ourselves (me more than him I think ) The Estcourt Arms couldn't guarantee gluten free food so after a quickie we went back to the Flag. Another great game, a few Geordies and 'orns to banter with, great food and great music. Still prefer away games but was good to be back at the Vic after soooo long Cheers again
Its no problem all the horns pull together, Come and go as you wish you will always be most welcome .
Afternoon all Enduring a second cold in a month, so tonight's Burns Night refreshment will be welcome. Aberlour (the most northern distillery in mainland Scotland I believe, near Wick) and Dufftown the Singleton - for those of you who like your single malts. There's a drop of Dalwhinnie, Ben Riach and Glengoyne left over from last year too! Neeps, tatties and haggis all set to go. Shortbread with blood orange sorbet for afters!
I was about to ask if anyone else was struggling with cold like viruses as I'm on my second within a month too! Bloody frustrating, slightly different symptoms but same nett result: in bed, hacking my lungs up, can barely watch telly/kindle, feel like I have had a truck run over me repeatedly. I have Aberlour (my favourite) and four other single malts and some blends but pride of place goes to The Hibiki 17 year old. Alas not tonight, stoked up on paracetamol and other alcohol unfriendly drugs
Same, I've been in bed for the last week, shivering and coughing up everything my lungs have to offer. I blame the French and their love of antibiotics...I've always refused to take them for minor illnesses yet here it's the firs thing they'll offer. So basically a few hypochondriacs are now turning viruses into superviruses...
Evening all to those under the weather. Hope that you feel better soon. Glorious Springlike day here with eight hours of steady clearing blackthorn and brambles with a good bonfire at the end of it. We had thought it was time to do something for holidays in May but had trouble deciding where to go. Last year was so good that we have booked for another fortnight on Corsica. I really love the island with the sandy beaches, mountains and sparkling blue waters of the Med. There are some great bars and restaurants and the people are friendly providing you do not come from Paris.
