Everybody was standing all match so it was nice to sit down at half time. I stayed in my place no pee or ****.
Three at the back? Four with Alex? Maybe they could take Dawsons return gradually - 90 minutes on bench if possible.
Well we saw the problem when their big guy came on winning headers, Dawson is essential for our team.
Didn't see the game today, but I've just seen the highlights on SSN & Odubajo's tackle was one of the best I've seen. I slated him for piss poor mistakes he made previously, but that tackle, if made by any well known defender, would be called World Class!
HERNANDEZ SCORES AGAIN AS TIGERS GO TOP OF THE TABLE It’s all just a case of history repeating. Only this time it was Hernandez, not Manucho, who scored a slightly fortunate winner. City arrived in SW6, knowing that a win might take them to the top, and so it was. To be fair to Fulham, they had much the best of the first half, putting City under constant pressure, with former Tiger Tom Cairney desperate to score. Despite Fulham’s first half dominance, the Tigers had the best chance when Hernandez was denied by Lonergan in the eleventh minute. Fulham outplayed City for long periods but lacked a cutting edge, and were unlucky not to go ahead. But, as we’ve seen so often this season, City are a second half team. A much better start to the second half saw City come more into the game.An early chance blazed over by O’ Hara reminded the Tigers that they had more defending to do, and they defended manfully. A Cairney free kick flew wide, and you felt that this just might be our day. Maguire headed wide from eight yards, and then, on seventy nine minutes, Adubajo was brought down by Christensen, and the ref pointed to the spot. Up stepped Hernandez, who dispatched the spot kick via the post. Fifteen goals now for Hernandez, who has added so much to our chances this season. Let’s hope he keeps clear of injury. A top class save from McGregor in the ninetieth minute reminded the Tigers faithful how vital his saves have been this season. A solid, if unspectacular performance by the Tigers saw us see off a good Fulham side. A slight element of luck, perhaps, but these are the sort of results that win you Championships. Steve Bruce just keeps on putting teams out that do a job. Not a pretty performance, but who cares? City are back on top, and it feels great. Champions? Why not?
Harsh decisions have to be made in football, Dawson is our most accomplished and experienced centre back so I would expect him to be selected when he is fit again.
