I would say it's tragic that once again drugs end a life so soon as for it being a tragedy no.Anyone who has family or friends who have been addicted to drugs will understand why some people have little sympathy towards the manner of her death

 

R.I.P Amy - sadly missed and such a great talent.

Those that are making jokes already should be ****ing ashamed of themselves.

 

Not ever going to happen when the vast majority of the general public could just as easily make them with a basic knowledge of chemistry and some readily available household goods, nevermind the fact that new ones are being discovered everyday so if someone wants some someone somewhere will get them regardless of any laws.

Unfortunately prohibition doesn't work, look at alcohol in the US in the early 1900s and the mafia crime syndicates that became big business because of it - if the government licensed and regulated drugs it would immediately take away the crime industry around them & you could tax them to the eyeballs like ciggies and booze (use the money generated for elsewhere) and have those who take them sign a disclaimer that they'd pay towards their healthcare if they ever have problems related to drug abuse. Nevermind the money released from attempting to fight the "war on drugs"!
I know plenty of people who have taken drugs and have ended up fine; the vast majority of them are no different to taking alcohol (the problem isn't necessarily the addiction to the habit of taking drugs, more the release the habit gives from whatever ails them in life and unfortunately that person then associates that release with that drug, again for the vast majority of addicts out there, this drug is alcohol (more alcoholics than other addicts)) - hell half the government's advisory council of scientists quit recently when they published studies that alcohol is more dangerous than a lot of the drugs out there.

Very sad indeed, hits home even more when it's a fellow mag. Like I said in a previous post, my thoughts and well wishes are with all the people, families, friends affected in both situations. I emphathise deeply with all my fellow human beings.

 

Some of the comments on here are a ****ing disgrace - Amy Winehouse was a deeply troubled soul who suffered from terrible depressions. Anyone who has any experience of that will understand just how hard life can be no matter what 'trappings' your life may appear to have.

Making pathetic comparisons to African people just shows how totally ******ed some of you idiots really are.

R.I.P to the norwigian (sp) people and Amy Winehouse. Each one of them are saddening, there is no hiding from that.

Yeah, fair enough, Winehouse did take drugs, but it must be difficult to pull away from an addiction when drugs must be so easy to get as a famous singer, and so temping to take.

i said nothing about her family, i was talking abour her, i feel sorry for her family but not for her, i know whats its like to lose someone through non natrual causes, my cousin was killed in afagnisthan last year, i didnt bring up her family so dont puts words in my mouth

 

Exactly and there was a lot of more them, both are tragic in their different ways. Think people feel that by comparison Amy Winehouse is getting too much publicity because she was famous. Though it is still tragic and very sad.
