Arsenal away now is effectively a free game. We will be under no pressure - anything we get will be a bonus.
As the ball came over, Charlie had so much time that he had time to think "Nice ball... let's see if I can get on the end of it... I hope people will also credit me for getting the free kick... if I get service like this I'll be breaking twenty a season... wonder why no-one's bothered to mark me.. best put it away I suppose... bang!"
Swelling with pride after todays performance! A massive shout out to Matty Targett in my opinion.. Was superb and kept Lingard very quiet!
Terrible match, but this threads positivity saw us through Hopefully the first of many from Mr. Austin
Man U really weren't that bad, IMO. They're not the Man U of old both in terms of talent or mystique but that game was played at a pretty high pace for the most part. I worried we might get tired after the way we chased everything in the first half, but fortunately we have some firepower off the bench now. Man U probably had more possession but for the most part we kept them pinned back and contained. They put in a shift as well, though. I'd say that Man U looked like a decent-but-not-great side. But we played very well and did enough to edge them. So a 1-0 win late, capitalizing on a mistake from them seems a fair result. I guess that's not what you're expecting or looking for if you are a Man U supporter but that's their reality now. They ran up against a good club who was just a bit sharper and maybe a bit quicker today.
