If that's how Austin thinks, fine. His dodgy knee may played a part but £4m is a bargain. If he can stay clear of injuries and replicate his form last season, the Saints got themselves one of England's best poachers. He can even play his way to the Euro sqaud.

Bad news for Van Gaal. Young is out for a long time as he's having surgery. He may have to do the unthinkable and play Darmian in his favoured position.

On a more serious note I hope we dont miss Young. At least he adds some directness to our game.

I really rate Darmian from what I have seen. Him at RB is a no-brainer to me.

You'd think so, but Van Gaal has no brain so it can't possibly be a no-brainer.

I'm sure we have a right winger somewhere that we can shoehorn into the LB slot.

Or just stick Fellaini in there. LVG seems to think he can play just about anywhere <ok>

Lucky boy Fellaini - possible retroactive action there given how he threw his left arm out

With Spurs falling behind this is a fantastic opportunity to regain 4th spot - so what do we do..........................play bore ball again.

From the BBC - Eight hours and 26 minutes without a goal in first-half football at Old Trafford

LVG will never change his approach to football. That first half would have been perfect for him as we didn't lose the ball too often. FFS that man is the least suited manager to United. Reminds me of a poor mans Dave Sexton,

The man must go. The earlier the better. <ok>

unbelievable soft fouls Saints got all day compared to all pushing Liverpool did in their match and referee said it was not a foul
anyway we didn't deserved to win
thanks to our genius board .. team need players with all injuries and lack of attacking power, yet they keep hold on LVG and decided bcz they are not sure, we will not spend ..
unbelievable LVG is not sacked yet .. is just painful to watch UTD atm, boring and worst are not getting enough points .. yet LVG still in charge
