When Button produces results like Hamilton the playing field can return to normal, MSC was favored in the late 00's because he had the special talent to make something out of nothing just like Hamilton, it is better to put all the resources into one excellent driver than one good one.

Thanks Julius. No need to answer GUEST's questions now. The only reason I said that I thought the Nurburgring would have favoured Button is because it is technical, and quite different to a street circuit. Lock ups are punished quite severely as we saw today. I'm sure GUEST sees where I'm coming from when it comes to Hamilton's driving there.

he was looking at 4th at that time, but we dont know how his tyres would have held up doing a 2 stopper.
and basil said the track would have suited button better.on what evidence?lewis is strong on hot and cold tracks, jenson is mainly strong on hot tracks because he's able to get grip.
the fact is his quali performace is poor.the only times he's beat lewis in quali is when lewis had bad luck in quali,or when lewis decided to save a set of tyres.
and when lewis has a good weekend button rarely beats him regardless.4 out of his 5 victories over lewis last season was when lewis got a dnf.and dont forget lewis got 2 more than button last season.this season he has 1 more than lewis.but he has benefitted from hamiltons bad luck this season just like lewis has benefitted from buttons.so its not all 1 way.i cant remember the last time button beat lewis after they both had a good weekend.and theres no way whitmarsh would favour lewis over button,no way.you see how happy whitmarsh is when button wins.

and how exactly did he get past those cars?and yeah lewis drove recklessly because he could have got pole and probably won the race.also if he hadnt of drove the way he did he wouldnt have finished 6th.he probably would have finished 9th,so the way he drove actually got him more points.
in silverstone too lewis had to drive brilliantly because they sent him out late in quali again but lewis showed his class buy attacking from the start.
and today he attacked to get back in the lead whenever he lost it.lewis got 2 more dnf's last season and still beat button right?so lets see if button can beat lewis with only 1 more dnf.

Hamilton simply drove a superb race today and Jenson just didn't manage to hook it up all weekend. I know it's hard to swallow for some people.. but that's just the way it is.

This year, Hamilton has been far from his best and has made some serious errors of judgment both on and off the track... It could be possible that he's finally rediscovering his form and approaching his racing with more composure. If that's the case then Jenson will have to step up his game to keep Hamilton in his sights. Like him or not, there is no denying that Hamilton at his best is a very tough nut to crack.

As for the conspiracies, I'm frankly sick of hearing them from both sides of the camp. The fact that McLaren are the only team on the grid to have both drivers win a GP this year shows that both drivers have opportunity to win. If watching the sport fills you with so much venom and hate when a driver that you don't support or like wins a race then I might suggest that you either need to watch another sport or simply learn to watch the races with an objective view. Personally... I like to see seasons with many different race winners and a close fight for the title, even if that means watching drivers that I don't support take victory.

Jesus christ, how badly do you love Lewis Hamilton? If Jenson Button is as bad a driver as you say, why did McLaren hire him. Theres plenty of young talent out there, why would they sign a driver the wrong side of 30 if they thought he was rubbish.

Although it is reasonably technical Basil, it still rewards a 'sling-it-in' late braking style. This becomes even more apparent when temperatures are low, where a driver like Hamilton naturally generates more heat and the likes of Button really struggle.

Contrast this with the most technical circuit of them all: Hungaroring. And bear in mind that at this time of year, Hungary tends to get very hot!

I very much doubt that Button will be more than a second adrift of Hamilton again. At Hungaroring, I would not be at all surprised to see nothing between the McLaren drivers in qualifying, and for Button to use his tyres better as the race unfolds.

This also explain why Webber battered Vettel. Webber is harder on his tyres, generating more heat, which generates grip.
