He was superb in the first leg but more intent on hurting the opposition than playing in the second. Shame he's 35, would have loved to have seen him in his prime. Never going to be rapid after his injury.
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...beat-hull-to-the-signing-of-vincent-aboubakar Was in the summer of 2014 when you were keen. Edit; iPads really are ****ing atrocious.
I'd take Powell if the wages are good. Bruce is no mug, if he gets him in there'll be no issues that were around him at other clubs. I don't think he's bad at all, but it'd be a baffling signing given our dearth of options in midfield. Unless somebody is leaving and we need cover. Or it's cover for Diame.
This is a 22 year old kid who when he was a bairn made 50 appearances for Crewe and a couple of years ago made 30 odd appearances for Wigan. For Manchester Headturners he's made 3 appearances. Three! In about 4 years. If he hadn't have signed for them he would have a couple of hundred appearances behind him. Be an experienced professional. Now he's hoping for a loan to restart his career. Kids are too quick to sign for the top clubs. It's ruining their careers. Greedy agents advising them. ****s.
Well that's the end of Rovers for this season. If they ever had any chance of resurrecting their season.
Harper is good friends with Bruce, big Sam and shearer but he's Kinda sold his soul to the Devil here, he's a huge Newcastle fan. If I was his age and Leeds came calling, id carrying on getting my coaching badges haha
So we've still not loaned anyone. Judging by all the other transfer goings on and prem clubs splashing the cash and avoiding signing players like Bamford because he's not a proven prem player! We could be in with a shout! I imagine Bruce is keeping a close eye on things regarding Bamford! Of all the names been 'linked' with us, I see him as the most beneficial.....and something tells me this will happen!
Bookies are not often far off the mark. 1/5 about Powell is a bit worrying and must be taken seriously
Good article n the guardian about this. About Arsenal youngsters, ones at worthing I think, he partnered bellerin and afobe.
Patrick Roberts of Man City would be a brilliant player for Brucie to look into, used to play for Fulham and is meant to be the next big thing, I would imagine a few premier league clubs might be circling though.
