i love new york it's not everyones cup of tea. it smells like an open sewer at times, but i love the hustle and bustle of it, the [street] food is fantastic, and the energy of the place at night is brilliant! not to mention canal street in china-town..surely the greatest place in the world for knock-off gear! i try to go every couple of years at least. my idea of a holiday from hell is laying by the pool for 2 weeks catching a mahogany tan or an 18-30 hol. please log in to view this image
are we american now jord?? barcelona is muggers paradise john guernsey is probably my favourite place in the world, but i dont have a favourite holiday destination. i like cruises, you wake up and you're in a new country every couple of days.
If you look like a tourist jen, yes, it probably is. In fact, I know it is as a stag do resulted in something akin to that a few years ago. However, you're fine if you look like an untrustworthy continental
Didn't like Barcelona apart from Nou Camp but for me Las Vegas been twice and I don't think anywhere in the world is like it
I can't stand people who pay good money to go on holiday and then lay by the pool desperately trying to get burnt. I'd quite like to visit New York.
Has to be Portovenere in Tuscany for me, Heaven on earth, good wine great food and half naked Italian women.
Similar, I go to Porto Santo Stefano every summer in southern Tuscany (my dad's from there), great place.
We call them crapauds Guernsey's just a triangle, all you've got there is... well.... Let me get back to you
Favourite holiday destination.... Egypt. I remember this one moment when I went there many years back just watching the sun slowly set over the Nile, the sky a hue of red and orange, as a feluca sailed past. It was amazing. And the historical monuments were incredible. Also very much like Sydney, Australia. Seems like such a vibrant, exciting city. Great weather and nice scenery. Turkey's also got some brilliant historical monuments (can you tell I like history?) and the scenery is amazing. Got some amazing photos of the sun setting over the Marmaras. Though I'm a bit like Jen in the fact that I really like cruises. Although I've only ever been on a mini-cruise to Spain but I just love ships and the sea and being able to look into the horizon and see nothing but water stretching as far as the eye can see. I think it's because I'm a Pisces.....
if you're using french for that you should use the french for donkey. what is sark like? my nan is from there. lapras, cruises are the best. people who havent been on one are really missing out.
I went to Sark once, it's nice but completely in the back of beyond, if any kids want to go to secondary school they have to take the boat to Guernsey every morning! Baudet
hmmmm about good enough for a day trip but thats it then. im not a baudet, im a mainlander rather be a donkey than a toad, said i'd rather be a donkey than a toad!!
