And, in my opinion - for what it matters - Ron would be right .................. And I think he's been proved that way in the last few games!

I think the great leveller in this season has been demonstrated by good teams beating an 'expensively assembled individuals'.
We are currently a good team, they are not.

I like the new Tadic ploy, Sadio wears em out so Dusan can bamboozle em.

Better than not being played at all, but I bet Tadic isn't a happy bunny. He must regard each goal scored as the equivalent of 2 fingers up to Ron....fine by me. :) I remember a similar point being made to Poch (whilst at Saints) and he said that players weren't paid to play, but were paid to train and be available to the manager.

Sadly if we win (what am I saying, when we win!) prepare yourself for the Man Utd under perform bollocks the media will come out with. Actually I'd quite like them to have us on the rack for 89mins only for Austin (88min sub) to fire home a breakaway winner.

Worth it to see the colour changes on LvG's face.

That's a bit perverse o_O but understandable and any humiliation of the Disunited would be welcome of course :1980_boogie_down:
But the problem is how would you feel on Monday when you realise that we were outplayed by the Red Rabble?
    (I know - you'd feel like a winner :emoticon-0178-rock:)

Perhaps it's inevitable. The media even accused both Watford and WBA of under performing, so you can bet they'd be finding excuses for Man U.
However, from last season I have a delicious memory of an interview the media had with Rooney after the 1-0 at OT. There was not the slightest suggestion that ManU had played badly but that Southampton had played better. The interviewer impressed it so much upon Wayne that he bristled a bit, saying something along the lines of we're not too bothered about Southampton's season... Then again, he paid us an unintended compliment by suggesting that he'd seen us play better before. Which of course meant that it didn't take our best form to beat his side. :)

    12 months on, well see...

Apologies if posted earlier, but I see Lawro is predicting a 1-1. Whilst I'm happy that an interested and knowledgeable neutral can arrive at that opinion, I feel that I won't be entirely satisfied unless we win. Such is the level of expectation of Saints these days.

Isn't that Bevis Mugabi just behind Shane about 30 seconds in? Good to see him training with the first team if it is.

Yes, I am excited to see that as I have a big sky view where I am, and the back of the house faces south-east. Typically, the early morning after it was announced on mainstream news, it was cloudy and there wasn't the slightest chance of viewing any stars, let alone planets. We get until mid-February anyway, so there should be a view at some point. What's the chances on there not being a single clear morning between now and then.? :)

Hopefully we can carry some our recent home form into this away game. I am hoping a lot of the newly found optimism I am reading is not misplaced because our away form, at present, is dire. I see this as a very closely contested game and hope that we cut out the foolish errors we have committed against Utd. We could sneak this one, but would more likely think a draw. RK has found a formation and personnel to work within it for the past two home games against easier opposition - am interested to see how we line up tomorrow... Expect this to be a low scoring draw - better if the defence steps up and the DM's do their job in front of them.

I simply cannot tell you how excited I am to see Charlie Austin on the pitch for us. I'm slightly scared by how excited I am. I don't care how he does, I just can't wait to see him on the pitch at Old Trafford.
