It's not the first time we have had this problem either. With Saylor, Willo out of contract this season and Colo, Mbabu and god knows who else next season we are going to be doing a massive overhaul over the following two windows (which will create its own problems e.g. gelling the defense) but why not get another in this window to help out NOW!

Crisis what crisis ,,,,,, it still beggars belief that we show no signs of looking to strengthen the back four. You can go all out and break transfer records on strikers if you want, but an injury here or suspension there, and we are like a sieve at the back. It's criminal to continue to ignore this fact.
Yet if you look back at other threads where I kept saying "we need defenders" it was argued not to be the case by numerous members of this forum and that all our targets had to be strikers!
Really? Well they're idiots then as it's been clear we've needed defenders for ages. The main baffling thing is that the area that needed least strengthening was midfield and that's where almost all the efforts seem to be.
Really odd, that the defence hasn't been strengthened.. Cant understand why more money was spent on the midfield, when you think about it messrs, Colback, Anita and Tiote have bossed the centre of midfield all season.... Same with the strikers, they've been knocking in the goals left, right and centre all season long, so why on earth would anyone want additional striking power.
Yes we need people in other positions yet defence has been and still is our worst area on the pitch for a few years now! If we had a proper defence, we wouldn't have been playing with two holding midfielders and so Gini would have been central. This would have in turn improved the areas that have let us down so far. We are not only so ****e in defene but we have no back up options other than youngsters!
I think we need both. We have no cover for rb and janmaat is just one grumpy morning away from a 3 match suspension for a reckless two footed headshot. Left back we have needed cover for the last decade.... Dummett can do a job but he is by no means a Carlos.
