Day 22, film 22, "Brooklyn", I cannot believe I've waited 22 days before watching this film, just watched the first 20 minutes and it looks brilliant, just up my street. Got to run my mother in law to town so have to restart It later. Need to watch it today as I'm taking my 3rd Family member to an airport at 2 in the morning, This will be my third visit to an airport at 2 in the morning In 4 ****ing days, taking my family to there holiday flights. **** sake carnt they get an afternoon flight... I'm shagged......
Need your advice. Currently halfway through Gomorrah (great watch), seen the first series of Romano Criminale and The Bridge 3. I'm looking for any foreign series online to watch, there's been some excellent foreign series lately and i'm hooked.
Spiral is good, think it's on Netflix as I watched it on there about 6 months back. Braquo is my favourite but not sure if it's online anywhere, Sky Atlantic have had it on
I know I'm going to get flak for this but I've just sat through Hateful 8 and I feel it was 2.5 hours of my life lost. I know it was Tarantino and I should expect lots of explicit violence but that was all there was. Acting was good enough, cinematography very classy but that's not enough to counteract the blood, the tedium and the lack of anything to make you feel your life has been enhanced for watching it. Right, I'm retiring to my bunker now...
No worries! If you like the Bridge you should love Spiral, look out for the sexy redhead in it too, oo-la-la!!
I kind of agree Plum, I love Tarantino but I don't think Hateful 8 was one of his better ones, still watchable though
"Brooklyn", bloody brilliant, loved it, My gran was Irish, you've gotta love A paddy... There's a bit in it I loved, At the beginning she's working in this Orrible old bags shop, there's a massive Queue, a woman walks in who's a bit Larday dar, the owner says to her, what would you like Mrs (forgot her name) A woman at the front says, "I was next", The old bag says to her "you still are"... ****ing brilliant !!!!! Well worth a watch .....
Watched The Drop last night - a slow burner rescued by Tom Hardy & James Gandolfini; great end quote ........ ''they don't see you coming, do they Bob?''
Not mentioned Tom Hardy in Bronson on here yet I think, love that film- also there is a Hull connection as that's where he kidnapped the teacher
Yesterday I watched 'Let's Be Cops' which should definitely be a 4 or a 5 but I'm giving it 6/10. So there. Then 'Lemmy' was on BBC4 and that's getting a 9/10. It must be cool to have a doc made like that about you before you're dead.
Got Brooklyn watched this morning after trying to watch it the past few days, and it is superb, another film rightly up for Best Picture. 8.5/10
8.5? GTF. We're doing it out of 10. Don't make me go back and give percentage scores to all the films I've watched. Is it an 8 or a 9?
