If we do sign Texieira, it will be interesting to see how Klopp sets up.

WIll he play the False 9 with Firmino in the 10, or vice versa? Or Firmino as 10 and Tex in a wide position with a proper striker up front?
I read an article yesterday that suggested Tex in 10 and Firmino f9. The reason wasTexeira likes to start from deeper and run ahead of the front man.

Klopp says we are pursuing a signing now because the situation has changed.

This could mean:

Sturridge will not be back any time soon.
Coutinho's injury is worse than thought.
It is believed Texeira will be cheaper now than in the summer.
We have received a significant offer for one of our players.

Signing Tex isn't covering for Studge.

Am I right in thinking Studge doesn't cost us any money whilst he is out injured? Afterall, that is what player insurance is for right? That's part of the reason they have medical, hence us not signing Remy / Ba a couple of years back.

Wouuldn't want to have seen the increased premium on him last 2 years lol....

Depends whether the club takes out a policy on each individual player or if it's a group policy. If it's a group policy then it wouldn't make too much difference although we've had a lot of injuries this year.

no no no... we are paing him is wages... there is no way any club out there gets insurance companies to pay wages. the industry would be up in arms on it.
