Pick a team comprising of no more than one player from the 14 clubs outside of the top six. You can't pick any Man U, Man C, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool or Spurs players and can only have one player from each team. Where do you think your team would finish if they all stayed fit for the season?

Took me a little longer than I expected.

    ...................Begovic......................
    ...................................................
    Orr.........Cahill.......Samba.......Baines
    ...................................................
    Brunt....Sessegnon....Tiote....N'Zogbia
    ...................................................
    ..................Dempsey.....................
    ...................................................
    .....................Bent........................

I'd say this team could finish 9th. Strong defence with a good CB pairing. Orr is the unknown as I couldn't get another good RB in there. Plenty of goals and assists from midfield in Brunt, N'Zogbia and Dempsey in CAM. Also Baines would chip in with a few and lots of assists. Up-front Bent is a class poacher who would bag loads with the midfield giving the ammunition. Tiote is the steel in midfield.

Completely pointless but something to do.

I don't want to make a team but I know, if I did, it would finish first.

    GK-Given
    RB- Foley
    LB- Baines
    CB- Woodgate
    CB- Cahill
    RW- N'Zogbia
    LW- Sessegnon
    CM- Tiote
    CM- Taarabt
    AMC- Dempsey
    CF- Odemwinge

As long as I could get Taarabt, Dempsey, N'Zogbia and Sessegnon could interchange well, would say top 7.

Forgot about Holden, still Cahill for Coloccini and Tiote instead of him is probably about the same.

  9. Taarabt is over rated and hasn't even played in the prem why are you including him in your teams guys?

Because u can only pick 1 player per team and aren't allowed to use players from the top 6, therefore have to pick two players from Blackburn, Wolves and the 3 newly promoted teams.

Anyone else notice the lack of good right backs in the 14 clubs?

    Hennessey

    Salgado
    Shawcross
    Hangeland
    Baines

    Barton
    Holden
    Cattermole
    Nzogbia

    Bent
    Odemwingie

Yeah, mine would probably avoid relegation, that's about it though.

Lack of good right backs in the whole league, Chelsea have the best in Ivanovic IMO but he isnt exactly world class. Richards and Walker have potential as well.

IMO Johnson has been one of the league's best defenders since Kenny came in, he was gash under Hodgson though, so it'll be interesting to see if he can carry his form into the new season.

No one's at the level of Ramos, Maicon or Alves though.

    ---------------Given----------------

    Samba----Hangeland----Cahill----Baines

    -------------Tiote----Jarvis----------

    Larsson-----------------------------N'zogbia

    ---------Taarabt-----Odemwingie--------

I think this teams finishing position would depend on the link up between Larsson-Taarabt-Odemwingie.
Odemwingie and Taarabt are two players that can create something out of nothing but Adel prefers playing behind the strikers so he'd be playing slightly behind Odemwingie.

A solid defence and a pacey striking force.

I knew I'd forgot someone. Sagna is very good but again not exactly in the top brass like Ramos or Dani Alves. Richards could be very good but is not the finished article, same for Rafael. Both still can get a lot better.

Havent watched a lot of Liverpool but I think Dalgliesh has got it right using Johnson in a back 5 where there isnt as much emphasis on defending, one of the very best attacking full backs around though.
