That was the first LP (!) we bought upon arriving in the US. The stereo sound on It's a Kinda Magic appeared to bounce from side to side of the room. Amazing!
Saw very few top bands in their hay days although have seen quite a few just past their peak. Queen, The Beatles and now The Eagles are bands I would loved to have seen and the only band still functioning, I think, that I would like to see is Fleetwood Mac but I've no idea what they are up to these days.
The 30 mins @ Live Aid was also as good as it gets. Queen were so tight and right for that gig. IN FACT, Queen were voted the best act of Live Aid. I have. Not bad at all.
Stevie Nix in a gold mini-skirt singing Gold Dust Woman with Bob Welch and Mick Fleetwood in the early '80's takes some beating.
You just went up in my estimation Tickles, I had his 'Rebel' album in my teens, I played it until I almost wore it out, a fantastic artist. Music was my first love...
A woman i work with, her husband was given 6 months to live 5 years ago. Fought bravely but finally succumbed to that bastard cancer last week. RIP Massi
