I think he could be effective in behind a main striker (Wes's role), then there would be space for him in our current formation.
Brighton and Wolves looking at Charlie Adam? Surely he's good enough for a low Premiership side. Someone like Villa, Sunderland etc.
All I can say is, obviously our coaching staff don't agree with you. Also he would help his case if only he'd stop coming back unfit after a Summer break!

Yeah, a bit unfortunate that the majority get nobbled by other clubs for next to nothing? Adam Drury, Ryan Bennett, George Boyd, Dwight Gayle, Craig Mackail-Smith etc and now Connor Washington has just this week gone to QPHa.
But that's the point the best defence we put out in the first half of the season was nowhere near good enough. I would guess that injuries are more likely to happen the longer the season goes on. The priority this window in my view should be to dramatically improve our defence, not improve it to the point that we are one injury away from where we were. Part of the problem with our midfield is that we are having to overloaded it with defensively mind players to compensate for our championship standard defence.
Totally agree and I hope to see more attacking intent, especially against teams around us in the league.
I was very impressed with him during pre-season. Seemed like he fit into the team beyond his years. Hope he's got a future here as well as the loan list.
From all [little] I have seen and heard of him I believe he is destined to be a very accomplished player for us. The Mirror report that we want to sign Bamford on a permanent deal, and Chelsea would look to insert a buy back clause in any deal. Is this true? Or a hurry up message to Haller? There seems to be a strong feeling that Haller actually had a medical at Colney when he visited, so a deal may well be possible if no European qualifier shows any interest, and there is no sign of any such yet. I won't hold it against him for waiting, he is just trying to do the best for his career.
SO... Would any of you take Bamford? Flop at Palace (and the Play-off Final) but undoubted talent, no???
