Cheers Dave. Ok. an easy one (if you google it) in which city is the World's deepest underground railway station ?
The Arsenalna station on Kiev Metro's Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska Line is currently the deepest station in the world at 105.5 metres (Google!)
I'm playing - I just don't know the answer. I thought it might have been Tony Currie but he scored single, double and hat-tricks for us in 67-68 - so I'm currently at a loss.
Only one I can think of is Ian Richardson whose only 2 league goals came at home to Leicester in a 3-3 draw in 83. Of course he did get a single goal at Kaiserslautern in the UEFA Cup as it was then, followed by a memorable double in the return leg (I was at both games!). He is now first team manager at Tring Athletic. I don't know why we might be seeing him soon - our league is not disastrous enough to be playing in the South Midlands League next season?
Jimmy Gilligan - in the 2 seasons he scored in the league, he got 2 then 4 - must have been doubles. He's a coach at Forest.
Morton Betts Betts' most notable moment came when he scored the winning goal in the 1872 FA Cup Final for Wanderers, the first ever final of the tournament. In the match, he played under the pseudonym "A.H. Chequer". This was because Betts used to play for Harrow Chequers (a team associated with Harrow School). Betts' goal was a relatively simple 'tap-in', coming as a result of Walpole Vidal's successful dribble through the Royal Engineers' defence.
