Is it just me, or has ever since Grayson declared that Max is staying and Gradel declared he wants to stay at Leeds for a long time yet, has the media kicked off with it even more. They seem to be fixating on the point that 9 clubs are interested and ignoring the fact that Max wants to stay for many years yet. Ridiculous :L Just look for a good story by avoiding facts.
I'm sorry to ruin your mood but he said that more than 2 months ago. If he wanted away before he still wants away now.
I think the club made a mistake by not opening contract talks in April when he made the comments about wanting to stay. His wage demands have probably increased due to the interest of West Ham etc. that could pay him more than he gets here.
Can't find any evidence to suggest that Gradel's comment was from months ago, it appears to suggest that the current squad of players have bonded well together and that he feels the club are going somewhere. He may have said something similar a few months ago, but it's hard to confirm that the media have just used an old comment and updated it.
yea it is from months ago, theres not been any newer comments from gradel about the situation and to say why didnt they open contract talks with him in april, maybe they did and it is just taking this long because he doesnt like the offer. remember they tried to open contract talks in January and Gradel said he wanted to wait until the end of the season to talk about contracts
It never ceases to amaze me how people believe everthing they read in the papers (and I include myself in that !). The papers will say absolutely anything to fill the back pages, they can even make it up and quote "a source close to the club". It's even worse now in the days of the internet when anyone can make up all sorts of rumours. Don't believe anything until it's on the club website.
