Date: Saturday, 23rd January 2016 Kick Off: 3:00pm I know that I've neglected this the last two games, in my defence I was doing something way more awesome at the time being than watching Charlton. I guess that kind of sums up everything at the moment that I cannot find much positive to discuss. The team I have to say have been exceeding my expectations one goal at a time, with a series of four, five and 6 nil losses. We have had an appalling week in which our team has conceded eleven goals and changed manager to an old familiar face of José Riga. The mood in the dressing room cannot be great and Riga has a tough task ahead of him, even more tough with the planned protests prior and post match. Our CEO somewhat talkative has been absent since losing to Colchester United in the FA Cup. We have added to our squad this week too, with a signing from, surprise surprise, a Belgian club, Standard Liège former stewardship of Roland Duchâtelet. The Opposition Blackburn Rovers themselves have had their fair share of bad owners, so I can sympathise with them, but unlike our owners they have bolstered their squad this January with signings of Danny Graham and Elliott Ward, both Championship experienced players. They find themselves sitting 18th in the Skybet Championship without a win in six games; though Blackburn Rovers are a team who struggle when Jordan Rhodes is injured, to which he has been in recent matches. Paul Lambert would be expecting that given new editions, this is an opportunity for his team to pull further away from the relegation pack. Current Form Our main concern is shipping goals, which we are doing in plenty, and especially without reply. We have been averaging one shot on target over recent matches. There on form is not much for us to cheer on. Our defensive record is poor and this game will be an opportunity for a proven goalscorer to rack up a few to their tally. Head-To-Head We've been fairly inconsistent in our matches with Blackburn Rovers. The reverse fixture this season resulted in a 3 - 0 win for Blackburn, with Jordan Rhodes scoring two. The 2014/2015 season Blackburn Rovers registered three wins over us with Jordan Rhodes again scoring four out of their five goals for the club. During those games it's argued that we had a better defence than now, so god knows how many goals Jordan Rhodes will score this time round... Club Updates <INSERT WHEN AVAILABLE> Team Lineup We see Tony Watt return to the club and have Jorge Teixeira available for selection. Reza is serving a his suspension and we have a selection of injured that will probably not feature. I expect to see a following line up of: please log in to view this image Odds <WILL UPDATE LATER> Fixtures and Table <WILL UPDATE LATER> Outcome I think that its going to be a win to Blackburn Rovers, and it's going to be another massive thrashing.
I genuinely think we are going to win. There's a full moon tonight and that's long been a positive sign for a Charlton win in my household.
I have put a £100 accumulator on that includes Blackburn. It will be a draw, as a higher spirit doesn't want me to be happy.
What have you done to upset the wife Don? ........You haven't been nailing a Pig's ar5e to KM's front door again have you?
I've put Blackburn to win in my £1 eleven game accumulator. Expected return is £165k. I do one every week, but never win... Still better odds than winning the lottery!
I think nabys days are numbered! We always struggle against Blackburn, lost our last 5 games to them.
Is it bad that I'm not going to be at the match? Who else ain't going? Something better came up, plus I can watch all 7 of Blackburns goals on the League Show but not need to experience it in person.
I'm not going since I sent my season ticket back. No response to my request for some sort of refund yet. Protests - it may well be the first one I miss. The CARD thing has left some sort of sour taste in my mouth - the way they've burst in and claimed responsibility. I think I'll hole up in a pub with my bets and have fun with my mates. Simple.
I placed three separate individual goal scorers in an accumulator last week and bagged 500 for my 25 outlay. Across the lower league it was two. After the smackings we have received, it is very hard to see a positive result tonight, and i am usually quite positive. Here's hoping
Assume berg is in to protect fox. Starting THD would of been better, apart from that it's probably the best we can hope for. If (big if) we can keep Rhodes quiet we could nick it. Let's see.
Looks like Riga back to being a puppet. Being tasked with trying to get the best out of the flop - Bergbitch.
