ALL tests are that of memory of stuff one has read. What can't be taught is common sense. Anyone can have BILLIONS of uiversity degrees, but zero common sense - but some people struggle to understand - best you get yourself a brick wall.

edit ( for Toby- in case he asks me to justify my claim ) it's quite simple. If you read something - or given information - if you remember that information you stand a chance of recall. If you're not given information you generally remain 'ignorant' of the facts - and therefore cannot be expected to answer questions on the subject -- there may be exceptions to this 'rule.'
