I think play Austin. Austin will prove he is a Maestro and a great Ambassador for the Club. It may even get reported in the Metro. I know this is a positive thread, but if I said Austin 7, you would think I am pulling your Allegro Seriously, omens are good. I'm on a flight to Atlanta from 12pm Saturday for 10 hours. The last 3 times that I have done that on a Saturday, I've turned the phone as soon as we land and we've won. COYLG!
Pelle knee is still giving him trouble. Crazy that he had to play through the pain. I wouldn't start Austin.
The press conference was interesting....Austin available for Saturday and he is fitter than Koeman expected. Pelle's patella still troubling him. If you improve at Southampton you increase your chance of an international call up...citing Fonte and Pelle as examples. Also not impressed particularly by United as he would expect them to be challenging for the title.
I'd go with the same team as against West Brom but Austin on the bench instead of Pelle if he is struggling with his knee.
I think Clasie is Koeman's preferred starter and only sat the last game to get a rest. I thought he played well the game before that. As did Romeu, for that matter. I think it would normally be JWP who would sit as he took Clasie's spot, whereas Davis pretty much always starts. And I would agree that Davis had a great game. Only thing is, JWP's was arguably even better as he scored twice. So, seeing as how Davis has started pretty much every game this season, Koeman might decide it could be good to get him a rest him and play the hot hand in a game where set pieces could prove crucial. But if so, I'd expect Davis would slot right back in the next game. It's just my guess as to the lineup. I'm not arguing that Davis or JWP should sit, or that Clasie (or even Wanyama) should start. Whatever Koeman decides is fine with me. Our midfield has played well of late so it will be rather harsh on whoever doesn't get the nod.
Looks like our Ron is back...what a difference a couple of wins and a top top signing can make! Loved his response to the Shane Long transfer speculation. Shows he has his "Bullish" Dutch spirit back
You can see how more relaxed Ronald looks now...whatever he said before, he had a tenseness about him. More his old self now. The fact is that we have won 3/5 games and whilst we can beat United, it is not so imperative with those extra points on the board. The important thing is to have stopped a losing streak....does wonders for player confidence....now one loss wouldn't be the beginning of the end.
We always outplay United, I think it will be the same this time. But still, I would be good if this time we could capitalize on being the better team, instead of losing because of amatuer mistakes in the defense :O
I'm POSITIVE we can beat them and POSITIVE we won't make any silly back passes! and after what Ron said I'm POSITIVE we won't make any back passes at all!
You could tell Ronald was getting fed up of Fraser from Sky Sports asking those questions. I like how he handles himself.
I am expecting Sadio to play magnificently on Saturday...if he has a brain he will treat this as a trial to show Manure that they "need" to buy him. A bit like Victor's performance against Arsenal where he had his best game
I'm going to stick with my recent theory (used last 2 games) that whenever i predict saints will lose we win so... United 3 - Saints 0
