Its different this time, so folk like me have been here 30 odd years, got kids etc there is no settling in for any new comers like it was in spain back then Also the whole feed and house is a farce. White Europeans are eligible for housing and benefits, someone from India/Pakistan never had rights anyway to benefits etc Its weird that the govt has focussed on 2 elements in its ''we will get tough on immigration'' drive 1 - Chinese students - who paid a small fortune to study here and paid for some of our fees 2 - Indian/Pakistani spouses, they have to learn english and the spouse here has to be earning £18k. Yet the rules were that the one marrying from there had to provide a house and income and for 5 years (until granted citizenship) they were entitled to nada in terms of benefits. The spouse from here had to prove they wouldnt be a drain on the UKs resources Wat people dont know is that those spouses now could come in via Ireland and travel freely and get citizenship early too. In fact I am going to start a business I think offering that service for £15k a person. You want in?
