I don't have a problem with most sites' advertising and on principle for years I never installed anti-ad software - I believe that people should earn for producing content. It was the Daily Echo site that cracked me and made me download a blocker. Every single page without exception would launch video accompanied by audio. As I use the PC for music while I'm browsing, this was irritating beyond belief, so I installed ad-blocker. So, the people whose adverts irritated me enough to install ad-blocker are the very people refusing to let me use their site with it installed. Neat. Vin
12 goals, LOL. If Austin scores 12 goals this season I would send them their 500k note wrapped up in a big 1m check. He would have earned us 10 times that amount probably.
Seems unlikely, doesn't it. But I read a fourfourtwo.com article which said Saint's weakness for the season was finishing, with pelle having a conversion rate of 45%. I know stats don't tell the whole story, but it proves we are creating chances, and that maybe Chazza can be more prolific than our beautiful Italian. I honestly cannot wait to find out. I feel like we have a talisman again
Isn't it now the standard for hungry young English strikers to score in 10 games in a row? If not, I want my money back!
Not 100% sure, but I believe I read somewhere that Kelvin, Jose and Steve, as senior players, have responsibilities to introduce newcomers to the squad. Guess it was Steve's turn.
Madine scored against Eastleigh, remember him? Bolton 2 - 1 up Moxey the 2nd He scored for Carlisle in the JPT Cup Final!
There have been quite a few people who have been saying all through our "crisis" that we've been creating chances. We didn't need stats for that, we just used our eyes
I would be happy to add that to the end of season not606 awards... and then vote for Gaston Ramirez, just to annoy the Davis fanboys. I kid. I think Davis will probably benefit the most if Austin is what he is cracked up to be. He should get more assists, and Austin looks more mobile than Pelle, thus can offer a bit more on defense, taking some of the load off Davis and also allowing him to press and harass more effectively. And maybe we won't fall into the trap of constantly lumping balls up to Pelle all the time and instead build through the midfield a bit more.
http://www.burnley.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=431444 Article about money due to Burnley from Austin's sale. Only due 150K at the moment....so they are serious losers from the failure of QPR to sell him in the summer, but they are hoping for more from any subsequent payouts.
This is very much worth a read over your lunch (if you get a break): http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footba...arlie-austin-the-atypical-qpr-striker--column Brilliant article from the best writer of QPR content around. Reminds me of that game against City. I wish I could find a link to the highlights of that game, because Charlie absolutely terrorised them in that game!
The S is near the Z and it was on my phone, so I'll claim that fat fingers was the reason rather than me just being dopey
