Appologies for missing one, I should have done it at the same time as the Leicester match. Palace 1, Spurs 3, Kane, Eriksen and Ali.
It always reminds me of a dog track. And the braying fans who sound like donkeys doesn't help 'Eee Aww Eee Aww!'
Yes I see that now . Maybe it's because the Holmsdale road end is so disproportionately bigger than the other stands, or maybe it's because Croydon is a strange place full of stranger people (including our very own HBIC ), but Selhurst is one of the few grounds left in the PL that has a real pre-PL era 'feel' to it. I was there last year for the disappointing 2-1 reverse and it just felt like the sort of place that should have mass terracing and regular hooliganism.
Twats with cheerleaders 4 Tottenham, makes a nice change from playing Leicester, Hotspur 3 Chadli Kane Ali
This week the song is a direct message to the team. In the wake of our long-overdue but convincing removal of the Leicester City monkey from our back, they travel down to meet the Team of the Eighties (remember?!) riding on the rhythms of that good old rock'n'roll Bill Haley chart-buster: Shake, Rattle & Roll! Written by Charles E Calhoun Get down to South London and scupper those Pardew plans! Get down to South London and scupper those Pardew plans! I want three points now, 'cause I'm a Tottnam fan........ chorus: I said Kane, Alli and Rose! I said Kane, Alli and Rose! I said Kane, Alli and Rose! I said Kane, Alli and Rose Well the Palace have nothin' To stop our three-goal show! Beatin' those Foxes you played that game so nice. Beatin' those Foxes you played that game so nice. You looked so sharp – now hear my sound advice: - repeat chorus And now Dembele’s back, looking like he’ll shoot and score. I said Dembele’s back, looking like he’ll shoot and score - I can look at you, tell you’re gonna make the top four! repeat chorus I thought you were getting it right and now I know: I thought you were getting it right and now I know: The more you work the higher the Spurs will go! repeat chorus Prediction: Palace 0 Spurs 3 (our three-goal show) Scorers: I said Kane, Alli and Rose! Cheers, Spurf!
Brilliant! To come up with such appropriate lyrics in sync with the songs every week is great. This one has me swept away with nostalgia of learning to jive age about 13 or 14! COYS.
