Good thread, it's so positive I'm no longer miserable that my beautiful new v6 Alfa has blown her head gasket!
Think Clasie will get the start unless he is hurt and I missed it. Not sure whether JWP drops to the bench or if he *GASP* slots in at Davis's spot.
After Davis' last game he surely starts? And no not just because I like him. Same team as last game for me with Austin on the bench if he is ready.
You may wish to have a few extra rules or make sure you only start at kickoff as you're likely to be p*ssed before the match buildup ends. Or is that the point Apart from all the many other reasons I crave a good result against Man U, I'd just love it for RK if we thrashed 'em. Stop all those 'LvG is still the master' cliches from lazy commentators, and the Daily Mail.
Well I don't have a clue what sort of team we're going to see on Saturday, so many decisions to make. Stick with the back 3 or will we go back to 4? Will Clasie come back in for JWP? Will Austin start if fit? Glad it's not me that's got to make all these decisions but it's good problems to have As for United, it shows how far they have fallen when I think I'll actually be disappointed if we don't get anything from this game whereas in years gone by you'd be happy if you got a corner
I think van Gaal's reputation has been blown already....if you can't be in contention for the title with ManU you aren't really trying. It had got to the point recently where a draw for ManU was considered a victory.,,,that is shameful. I know things can turn round quickly in this league, but just not this weekend please #lightscandle
Yeah i'm guessing we'll be thoroughly buzzed within 15 mins of the first half. My personal reason for hoping we beat Man Utd is that there seems a to be an infestation of of their 'fans' here in Brisbane who are the most condescending, patronizing and plastic supporters you can possibly imagine....Beckham jerseys everywhere .
I believe condescending, patronizing and plastic are requirements to be a United supporter. Graceless is the other word I would use.
I think so too (there are a couple of exceptions mind.) The worst part is you cant even ridicule them. When we beat em away last season i puffed up like a red'n'white peacock and wanted to rub their noses in the fact that 'little ol saints' beat you at old trafford but most of them had no idea that we'd played or what the league table was like. Though like i said a few responded with hateful rhetoric and vitriol which was wonderful.
A United fan that I knew used to crow about getting us relegated for years after the event, but somehow never noticed as we climbed through the leagues. Never had one word of congratulations or encouragement at all. As I said, graceless.
