"A heterosexual couple have begun a legal fight at the High Court against the ban on members of the opposite sex entering into civil partnerships. Charles Keidan and Rebecca Steinfeld, from London, say their case is a "basic issue of discrimination and equality". Miss Steinfeld said they want to commit to each other in a civil partnership as it "focuses on equality". The Civil Partnership Act 2004 requires that partners be "two people of the same sex". It grants gay couples legal rights similar to those given to married couples. The government has said it consulted on the issue and found a lack of consensus, so does not plan to make any changes to the law." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35352629 https://twitter.com/beccasteinfeld?lang=en Are people really this desperate to moan about something? Her twitter describes her as "Political scientist: politics of reproduction & genital alteration." please log in to view this image Where do they get these people? Gone backwards hard in the looks department too, maybe if she hadn't let herself go so badly he would have married her?
Have you seen her fella? He looks like he's been whipped more times than Frankel. I bet she goes to watch amateur dramatics inside yurts in Somerset and has incense sticks all over her house. ****ing rat, I hope she gets run over by a Humvee pulling a trailer of fois gras.
I'm ****ing sick of human beings.....well some of them. Crispin Blunt, Tory MP, is one of them. He stood up yesterday and told the world he didn't agree with the proposed ban on poppers because he uses them himself <way too much information here> I trust he takes on the concerns of every parent in his constituency who calls him regarding their worries over legal highs then? Like **** he will, the hyprocite.
Im going against the grain here but I (probably as many others) see marriage as a religious commitment of two people who make a promise to be together in gods eyes for the rest of their lives, whereas a civil engagement is very much like a marriage except from the religious part? Its still a statment of love and promise to be together but just more of a legal statement as opposed to a religious statement. Im not against same sex couples in any way, im not homophobic and I am in no way religious in any way and dont claim to be a fountain of knowledge in the area, but im pretty sure that in gods eyes same sex marriage shouldnt happen and that is why there is the option of a civil engagement? I maybe completely ignorant here and am open to be corrected. How about a hetrosexual couple who dont want to marry because of their religious beliefs, should they not have the option of a civil engagement? When it comes down to discrimination and all that I usually just turn off because its just an excuse to have a moan! Like the acadamy awards, lets all protest it because all the main awards dont include black people! the likes of Jada Pinkett Smith and Spike lee have kicked up a fuss, but you dont get the same reaction from asian actors, or latino's, It just seems they wanna kick up a fuss because they didnt get nominated!
Bet you we all wished we trained as solicitors to be honest. They must lap all this **** up while pissing themselves laughing as the cheque goes in the bank thinking "these ****ing do gooders don't half help my lifestyle"
My long and exhaustive studies at the university of life have shown that there is no such thing as equality in any relationship between a man and a woman whether it be a marriage or a civil relationship. If they really want a civil relationship the easiest route would be to bring forward the inevitable emotional emasculation and pair it with a physical one so that they then fulfill the criteria for a civil partnership.
A registry office wedding or one performed by a registrar at say a hotel is a civil partnership in reality, you are not allowed any music with religious connection amongst other strictures. A short 15 minute formal ceremony without any religion.
Just ban marriage for all couples and its problem solved It's a load of **** anyway just an ostentatious parade
Jesus H ****ing Christ. Why do people assuming that everything is discriminatory. The Civil Partnership Act specifically states that it applies to same sex couples only. It's a bit like all of this Human Rights bullshit that the PC brigade abuse. It's getting beyond a joke.
I think we've found the reason behind your bitterness and why you are so cynical all the time! Did she get away? Did she say no? Did she break your heart and stop you from trusting anyone ever again? Come on Chaos, share and we can help!
No mate you can just live together you don't have to show off and in all seriousness I couldn't care less about marriage. You are obviously just another big fairy like 98 % off men trying to show mate. Nah not for me
The Captain has shared his problem with women with us before. Essentially he meets some great girls and things are going well until they catch him sniffing their underwear and then leave him. He will smell all his best girls and get seperated.
Im kinda not, Im not married, nor am I civily engaged. I just live with my gf and my daughter, I hate weddings! why spend money on a day its so pretentious
I don't think I'll ever get married. It used to rankle the missus when we were younger, I think like most girls she hankered for that big day, gushing as she showed off the ring (not that one Chaos), etc etc. I think she has joined my cynicism of the whole affair now. That said I think weddings are a great day out, I've had some excellent days out at weddings. Both religious ones and non religious ones. Never had an invite to a civil partnership yet. I don't have a problem with weddings, I just won't spend 15k-20k for one day as many people seem to. If I was gonna get married, it would be on a beach in Hawaii before having a stonking party when I got back. I know someone who did this for about 6k all in (holiday, wedding, party) - had a ridiculously good holiday with staff treating them like a Prince and Princess, and got the whole married thing over with in the bargain. I think for me I don't have a problem either way. I'm the same with religion. Each to their own and all that. As long as you're not trying to extol the virtues of it on me, using it for selfish purposes or starting wars with it, its all good. I believe what I believe, others should do the same. I'm happy to learn about religion, marriage, or just about anything. It can be interesting to try and understand what makes people tick. Its all this trying to make people believe in something, or criticising those who don't which I find an undesirable quality. This though just stinks of "I want something to be upset about" or "I know what would be clever"
As a hotel manager I am all for the big day out, you can always spot the posh Geordie bride like, cause all the tats are spelt correctly. In all honesty though over the last 10 years I have gotten fed up with it all, brides now behave like they are some sort of Hollywood diva and expect a tv style production number for peanuts, they have trolled the internet and watched all the reality shows and have ideas that just don't work with the budgets they have to spend, along with hideous dresses, crap cakes, monstrous colour schemes and drugged up ****wits for friends, I have to break up a number of fights as the guests get too pissed and never had much common sense to start with, simple tip if you want to break up pissheads having a go a CO2 fire extinguisher is better than getting in the middle yourself.
