Hi Simon,

It was chilly this morning but is now rising to a more acceptable temperature.

 

Paddy stopped cutting the hedge as the big car drew up beside him and an English visitor enquired,

"Could you tell me the way to Balbriggan, Please?"
Paddy wiped his brow.

"Certainly, sor. If you take the first road to the left? no still that wouldn't do? drive on for about four miles then turn left at the crossroads? no that wouldn't do either."
Paddy scratched his head thoughtfully.

"You know, sor, if I was going to Balbriggan I wouldn't start from here at all."

The trouble with Bill is that he is apathetic. Of course, that is his choice. If the offending article is of a 'serious' nature, then Bill is doing nothing to correct the situation. THIS happens too much in all aspects of life - which is partly why there is so much mess in the world. And the irony in the post is that Bill is offended, ( suggesting that the article does affect him - but not directly in a physical way, so he does nothing ), YET Bill will probably expect action from others, who he will accuse of apathy if they too 'do nothing', when anything causes him to personally 'suffer.' .... evil will triumph when good people do nothing.

Toby - you have expressed yourself in this thread - and have come up with some reasonable points ( or at least honest thoughts ). I have 'agreed' with some of your thoughts, but equally, I have disagreed with some of what you have written ( that is intelligent 'conversation' ) - but it has been refreshing to see that you have made some effort to explain your thoughts - before you revered to type !

ps - I'm fairly sure your signature needs to have 'LOSER' before '2015'
