Liverpool have (so far) spent £111,282,888.50 on 4 strikers - Lambert, Carroll, Balotelli & Benteke for 15 goals in 104 app. (£7,418,860 per goal)
Can you break that down for us? Carroll and Benteke combined is £67.5m. Balotelli was £16m. Did we really spend @£30m on Lambert?
Maybe the other £30m included Suarez since we bought him after Carroll Also, Borini, Aspas, Ings and Origi too. that's £26m + Ings
Benteke is a donkey and a beast at the same time. A good player that, surprise surprise, will NEVER fit our style. Ever. Just like balotelli. Great target man, good at pop shots too. But not mobile, not skilful, not quick, doesn't poach. He will never change. He was Rodgers' last gift to us
....he was awful again though You can't expect a massive flood of compliments after a performance like that really. Whether it's just a confidence thing we'll see but he's got to get better than he was tonight. He should be bossing a game like that and filling his boots. Heskinho
skillfull for league 2 but.... beat 2 then slide rule pass for thrid and set up first too.... not skillful? stay cool guys.
He was poor but we won and he was involved in two of the goals. Part of me thinks MITO is right in that Klopp's asked him come deeper for the ball at times but surely he's not said to do that when the ball goes wide? Three times we were in a crossing position and he drop to the edge of the box for some reason, it doesn't make sense. He made some very good runs in the second half too. Perhaps guilty of trying to hard when in possession. Maybe it's frustration? PS...coutinhoinho
