Not at all... if Jimmy you'd read back and stay cool you'd see we've been good to the lad.

Really impressed with the kids tonight - such a shame we have to go back to the dross of Milner, Lucas, Lallana.

Meh.... delighted for Ojo to get one. After that is the same old. Firmino needs faster ball too. It's hard to play up front for lfc with no supply.

It's hard to play for any club without supply.

There was supply today - but it's hard to get on the end on that supply when the striker is on the edge of the box. And even when the striker does get on the end of it, he misses. 2 clear cut chances in this one game. Countless others all season.

Nah supply was poor. Benteke missed a total sitters off teix and after that we held the ball 4 hours before crossing or skied it.

Benteke should have had 4 but the supply was still poor that's how bad they were

Yep, missed the header and the one right at the end. He's missed around 10 clear cut chances this season.

How can you supply a person who is a) rarely in the box, b) doesn't move, c) bullied by CB's?

Anyways, I don't wanna waste any more of time discussing that donkey. The kids put in a great performance tonight and bossed it from start to finish.

Klopp: I would like to work longer with Teixeira. We are always in talks, have to see. Sometimes you have to leave but maybe not Joao.

What a finish from Ojo.. very impressed, almost nonchalantly stroking it in.

That's a fair point astro, I personally don't feel that way because when he is given a full 90 he looks so mediocre.

I don't find him particularly exciting to watch either and in one on ones I have no faith in him hitting the target let alone finding the net. I'm sure I will get some flac for this but if all of out first team strikers were fit, he'd be bottom of the list. Not just because of my own personal thoughts of his play but the fact that at the moment it isn't working for him or the team

A ball dropping on the edge of the box and I'd back Benteke only 2nd to Allen in getting it on target

Interesting from Klopp... very much back down to earth rather than hyping up the young players...

Klopp on Sheyi Ojo’s performance and goal…
He is very young, so there won’t be 20 interviews next week, or man-of-the-match things…leave the guys where they are. Everybody who has seen him playing has seen what big skills he has, but there are a lot of things he has to work on. I am happy to have him here. He made a goal – it wasn’t too bad! And in the last game [at Exeter] he came on and was important in getting the draw. He is in a good way – but it’s a long way [to go] for these young boys. They showed tonight what they are already able to do and they showed what they have to learn. That is always the case at this age. It’s not [about] protecting – it’s giving the lads time to develop. Tonight was a good moment and, yes, he did a few things that were impressive, but he has a lot of things to learn. The target at the end of the road has to be Liverpool FC in the Premier League and for this you have to be ready in all parts of your development. That’s where we’ll try to help the boys.

Seems to have a completely different view on youth to the previous regime. "keep you best players here". Lists Kent, Ojo, Ilori & Stewart, possibly sees big futures for them?

Klopp on how LFC’s youngsters can make the next step in their development…
By working with them. It doesn’t mean they play because we cannot bring them in every week in the Premier League. We need to have all of our best players here at Liverpool FC – Kent was on loan, Ojo was on loan, Tiago [Ilori] was on loan, Stewart was on loan and a few more. We need to keep them here and then work with them. Football isn’t just about individual development. Yes, you have to develop individually but you have to develop as a team, you have to learn your position and you have to show you can work together with the team. You have to show you know about your job and the things you have to do. We will keep them here, work with them and I am sure the way will be shorter for them – but that’s for the future, not now.

    Absolutely

Players better here and learning how to play for us than in the first team (or on the bench) for Wolves or whatever

Get them back, let them learn

We will, eventually, get a decent style and a recogniseable play, finally! Hurrah!

    Keep cool :emoticon-0103-cool:
