Just watched that meself - didn't want to comment as i might of been arrested - my personal favorite was when one of them wanted to go to an islamic state country but still wanted his jsa ( job seekers allowance) to support his family over here. To be fair most of the ordinary muslims were giving them jip. The black flag over number 10 mind hey ho .... enough said

    Excellent thread.

I seem to have a lot in common with the OP. I was brought up in a mad, fundamentalist Catholic family. I believed all the ****e they told me. Fortunately between 13 and 16 I began to wake up to the fact I'd been told a fairy story - and a bigotted fairy story at that - and at 16 decided I was an atheist.

Discovering that what I'd firmly believed in was a load of bollocks was ****ing awful at the time. I don't know how different that was from the "normal" teenage bit. But I've made ****ing sure my own bairn has been saved that ****e. I've not brought him up as an atheiest. Simply religion wasn't mentioned, and he himself worked out that blokes being put to death on the Friday and then bouncing back on the Monday was impossible and a load of crap!

I also agree with the OP about the bacon sarnie. Was back for the Liverpool and Villa games. Every morning my relatives made me a bacon sarnie. Heaven! Except that Heaven doesn't exist but it was the next best ...

I got Good News and I've got Bad News!
The Good News is there ain't no "Hell".
The Bad News is that there ain't no "Heaven" either.
I've read the original Bible (the one King James abridged for simplicity) and it explains all. Available on the web if you want to read it. There's nothing to be frightened about and it's a beautiful read. You will learn where Cain's wife came from. You will learn who Noah was and why he lived to be 900 years old. You will learn about the lifespan of Man (and it's NOT 3 score years and 10 - that's in the Book of Psalms written by King David (although Biblical Scholars believe he just lent his name to them rather than have written them) - try Genesis 6.3 and be surprised). You will learn about "The Flood" and who the 4,900 Giants were (they're mentioned in the King James Version of the Bible) who also perished along with 'all mankind'. The Book of Genesis was copied by Moses between 1527 and 1407 BC from the original written some 5-6 thousand years before. Much has been lost in translation.
    Happy reading chaps.

As a previous poster said, Religion to some is their Rock as well as their Faith. It would be dangerous to take this away from believers as they would have nothing left. It is a great pity that we have yet to learn how to live within the parameters of our own beliefs whilst acknowledging the presence of others beliefs.
I always liked the words uttered by Warren Beatty (in a film I have forgotten) where he said "We've got to keep fcuking each other until we are all the same colour"!

It's about 'the truth' MrRA which is easy to find if you look for it. You wouldn't be bothered now as I would think you have far better things to do and I get the impression that you are not old like myself. When you retire and have nothing much else to do you will go in search of answers to questions you have always wanted to ask but haven't had time. Be prepared for a beautiful enlightenment my friend but I'm afraid the God spoken about in the Bible was actually plural and they most certainly were not Divine Deities. What the King James Bible represents is but a mere pinprick near the corner flag on the Stadium of Light Pitch. There is so much more.

I used to live next door to a Jihadi, he asked me if I wanted a water fight over the fence one sunni day.

I replied "Two minutes mate whilst I go and boil the kettle".

Speaking in tongues during a religious ritual that's is another absurdity ... the speaker supposedly gets taken over by the Holy Spirit/ Ghost and begins to chant in a gibberish language after a few minutes, another church member “translates” the message from as it's supposedly from God- but the question is that the omniscient being ( their Deity ) doesn't know or understand English? or even their native tongue? ...to my mind a great example of the religious implying that God is plain stupid

There was one I watched a few months ago, a bunch of muslims, slapping their backs with razor sharp swords as sort of a punishment to themselves to cleanse their sins.

One guy opened his back up you could see his shoulder blade poking out of him.

Hopefully anybody trying this in the UK will be refused treatment, give them a stapler and tell them to **** off.

Nigerians still practice female mutilation and also tribal scarring of the face for men. Barbaric if you ask me but it still goes on.

For the woman they remove her clit at a young age so she can't enjoy sex. She is for child bearing and looking after the man. Nearly forgot to add, usually their first **** is with the father or brother.

Some men still get tribal scars on their faces like Seal, again ****ing barbaric and so ****ing pointless.

With a bit of luck, they'll evolve and start doing it to their heads instead of their backs.

My Uncle(not blood) was a preacher, Still talk to him a lot. Very interesting, eccentric man but very troubled. Went to Gordonstoun with Prince Charles. Heard a lot of the bible, great stories, and It's amazing how many books and films have strong christian undertones.

Human sacrifices. Plenty of early religions had a go at it.
    Virgins were very popular apparently.

I wonder of that`s where allah got all his from.

I have no problem whatsoever with Muslims.

Muslim extremists however. I'd gladly pour petrol on the lot of them.
