    STURRIDGE FOR WEST HAM?
    Daniel Sturridge's     struggle with injuries continues and that could see him leave Liverpool, with West Ham rumoured to be prepared to make an offer.
    That's according to the Brentwood Gazette, who claim the Londoners are prepared to bid £18m to take the striker away from Anfield.
    Sturridge almost helped Liverpool to the title two season ago but has only played six times this term because of his fitness issues.

    You would think West Hams last purchase from Liverpool would have put them off. How many constantly injured strikers do they want from Liverpool? That's 4.5 Austins!

    Mmmmmmmmmm, west ham freaky owners dissed buying Austin due to injuries but might now be interested in sturridge, the king of injuries.

    With Andy Carroll and sturridge as your front two, the reserves will get plenty of opportunities.

    They're different units of measure. If you're unhappy that we did not pursue a player with a significant price tag, their worth is rated in ShLongs. If you're pleased that we didn't target some vastly overrated pile of dreck, Austins is the preferred yardstick.

    And if you want to indicate that something or someone costs next to nothing, the most apt unit of measure is the Cuco.

    Just to add to this and the wonderful world of accountancy, don't think that 1 ShLong = 3 Charlie Austins. It doesn't. There is a separate amortisation column that can be spread over, or not.

    Absolutely, particularly as the naming rights for the ShLong have been sold to a numbered corporation for an obscene amount of money to generate enough profit for quarterly bonuses to be paid, before being bought back for a pittance and reclassified as a yurt in order to earn a tax credit for building sustainable housing.
