Oh I agree (and Aarons was bought in really, we got him from Bristol as a 16/17 year old). Not claiming we're good at developing youth, though I think that was part of the reason for bringing in McLaren (following his work at Boro). We have no mix of experience and youth, just a host of bought in players who we want to develop and then sell on - it's pretty risky. You end up with situations where players are being effectively written off by (stupid) sections of support because at the age of 20 they haven't immediately started performing after moving to the country...

If we stay up then there's some good prospects who should be better next season having had time to settle/ develop/ adapt. If we go down I suspect we'd have a big sale.

Don't think you're being fair on Arrons like. I'd defo say he's your youth product. If they have to go through the u21 squad before breaking the first team squad I think the club can take credit. Take Watmore, he wasn't near ready when we got him. Our youth set up is responsible for him being in the position he's in now. I'd defo say Aarons is your youth product.

Have to say, I don't think Tufty will do much for your youth policy, unless of course he installs it and the club stick with it after he's gone. Takes years for youth set up investment to start fruiting and you can probably write of 99% of your youth players from u18 upwards(your catt status means you've been at the back of the queue in recruiting young uns). We put ours in place regardless of manager and thanks to the DoF set up the youth set up has remained unhampered to work despite multiple managers coming in.

You've finally got Catt 1 status(pending I do believe?) Your youth recruitment capability is about to open up world wide. Now is the time to for your next wave of investment. I'd get Carr as far away from the club as possible as he's so hit and miss and I'd question his capabilities to set up a world wide youth scouting network.

No disappointment. Would have preferred to stay above you but genuinely not worried. We've gone from being miles behind you in the league two months ago to on a par. We're making signings (more than pretty much anyone else) and looks like we're not finished yet. It may go badly wrong but for the first time in years it wont be for lack of trying. Our survival will be assured (if at all) from our own results more than anyone elses.

I can see you staying up, if your game against Manu is anything to go by, Watford are looking very poor if you isolate their striker pairing, they have no other option or plan, I was very surprised how lost they looked and no tactical change by their manager? Your playing them next I think, and as long as you dominate the midfield and cut off supply to they're front line you should win it.............<ok>

Good result for you guys, well done. I'm hopeful we can get a result provided we play like we have the last couple of games. Watford have lost their last 4 league games and we played them and matched them in Watford two weeks ago (lost a tight game 1-0). Away from home I'd settle for a draw but it's hard to call.

Swansea were on a level with Watford in both capability and talent leading to two poor teams. How Williams got away with climbing all over the Watford player in the penalty box was unbelievable. Make the most of the win as I doubt there may not be many more.

Yes we needed it desperately, and new manager in will hopefully help. Watford are looking like a one trick pony, and will need to do more than lump it up to the front two............<ok>

First half we were all over Watford, think the possession stats were about 65%, and we should have finished Watford off then, but then allowed Watford back into the game, but there was no real threat, was a poor game, and maybe because both teams have not found the net in recent times. Ashley Williams was MOTM and a Legend........<laugh>
