2 defeats in 7 away games is not good form either, for a team that wants to win the title, 2 defeats in 12 away games, that sounds good, 2 in 7, that's **** as well.
P7 W2 D3 L2 is poor P6 W1 D3 L2 is poor We'll defs win the title with either of those win ratios though
Looking at our league table split home and away apparently we've got 9 home games left (where we've only lost once in our 10 home games this season) and we've got 7 away games left during the rest of the season (where we've lost 3 times away this season - but 2 of those have been in the last 7 games, during our injury crisis). As Arsenal87 says we need to improve our Away record, but it was very good before our injury crisis and hopefully with a strong squad - and particularly DM, once our injured players come back, then we should improve on this, and if we can keep our Home record during the 2nd half of the season, then we'll be looking good. But at least we're on top of the league and people need to catch us (and Leicester) up and we don't need to make up ground on anyone...
It's not surprising that we've struggled to get those away results losing our best players through injury. Yes our squad is creaking under the pressure and hopefully this summer, Wenger will have a little clearout and get some better backup players. But as it stands, we've avoided loses and more importantly kept our momentum going. We were all predicting a catastrophe having to rely on Flamini solely, but it hasn't been so bad, not great but not terrible either. Our main priority was to keep it going and stay in the thick of the action and they've done that. We'll get better when our players come back.
Definitely - but I think having Coq, Santi and Sanchez back will help wonders with that as our ball retention and control of the tempo of the game with be much better, as will our ability to win the ball back and our transition from defence to attack.
It's funny that, as you say, we were all panicking in the summer/start of the season about having to rely on Flamini and Arteta, yet the really disappointing players IMO have been OXO and Debuchy, who haven't performed at all when we've needed them to, and as a result have left us with an inability to rotate or cover key players.
Good point there, both those players have been disappointing, more so OXO, who is talented but is not using it to his fullest.
