might just be giving away his game plan there.....

    following the LVG system.

6 men back line 4 holding midfielders.

    #smashandgrab

expect they don't have a tall player among them so they have to score direct from a corner... and when was the last time anyone ever saw that happen :bandit:

An early goal and you'll run up a cricket score.

If they keep you out for 20 minutes the crowd will get edgy.

crowd will be the whole exeter ground coming and cheering and anfield crowd will be more likely more local and less likely to sit on its hands like in prem game or watch through their ipads :bandit:

They were poor, very poor at their place. they don't have a big player to play it to so they have to play ball and frnakly out scratch side matched up easy enough.

This time round i expect there to be a lot more players available.

    I expect:

    Ward
    Randall Ilori Lovern Smith
    Allen Brannigan Can.
    Ibe Benteke Teixteria

I can see ojo and kent being brought along too.

Overall I don't see any reason for Toure to have to zimmer frame out for this one after utd nor sahko to be risked. The whole back 5 can be rested. Henderson should be rested too. Lucas... meh...

Lallana is not fit enough to play 2 a week IMO. he looks deathly pale after a half of football each game.

n Jerome Sinclair: “Nothing to say about this. Jerome is very young, so in a situation he has skills but physically it’s not easy for him in a central position in a Premier League game, to survive.

On Daniel Sturridge: “No. No chance for Daniel. He has had a break in training because of some issues. He’s now back training but losing time. But no team training since Newcastle. I don’t know how long it is. That’s not a situation we can think about him.”

    There you go.

    Klopp arrives with team update
Right, like I said, Jurgen is always early - and he’s already here for the press conference:

Klopp: "It's not always about the injury situation. It will be a similar team to the first match" @LivEchoLFC https://t.co/0Dek2uwwa5

    He’s back!

Jon Flanagan is in contention to play for Liverpool tomorrow. It’s only been over 600 days since we last saw him playing for the first team.

    Great news for the lad.

Here’s James Pearce with the full story.

    Klopp on Exeter
Klopp on the youngsters v Exeter: “You never cna be sure and I don’t want to put pressure on them.

“We play at Anfield and I would say we don’t have to think so much about the first game. It’s a big chance and we can show the young boys that we trust them. It’s very important. It’s a real competition against a good team. It’s similar to Germany, they all know how to play football. It’s a real man’s competition.

“They are excited. Anfield is a special place. I’m happy for them, hopefully we can create an atmosphere and go to the next round.”
