Villa seem to have given up, they're in a dire position and haven't signed anyone yet.

They're much like us last season, they spunked £50m in the summer and it's got them nowhere.

I understand what you are saying but it would have to be beyond 'desperate' to sign Fraizer. At best he is a 1 in 6 scorer and has failed to score from his last 6 appearances for Palace. There has to be better options than him.

After last night Aston Villa are now 10 points from 4th bottom.

QPR have already started to clear out the PL rubbish and re-build for next season in the championship.

What is even more damning is that Crystal Palace were losing @ Man City on saturday and still Pardew showed no intention of throwing Campbell into the fray.

We're not in the Premier League.

His scoring record in the Championship is almost 1 in 2 (22 goals in 46 appearances) and anyone who thinks we'll end up with a striker with a better hit rate at this level is bonkers.

I dont know why any football fan would have any issue with a former loan player celebrating when he scores against them. The *2nd worst thing in modern football is this clamour for ex-players not celebrating against former clubs. They dont play for us any more, they dont support us, get the **** over it. I was livid with Danny Graham when he didnt celebrate against Swansea.

*The worst is goal music, obvs.

Wonder whether Sinclair at Norwich could be available on loan with them about to sign Naismith; has also worked with Brucey before?

Would you rather be Hull Tigers or see Jake Livermore refuse to celebrate scoring against Leeds at the KC with goal music?

If you look at my reply OLM you will see it was in answer to " ..some Premier League Club desperate for a striker...." which is why I quoted his Premier League Record. I also posed the question as to what would we do if and when we reach the PL with Fraizer and Abel who are not (imo) better than average PL strikers.

If we do get back into the PL we are almost certainly going to be a below average team at least for the first few seasons, should we last that long, so surely two not better than average PL strikers would do us just fine?

However, FWIW I don't believe we'll sign anyone this window unless there are some big moves out and the owners hand is forced.

It's perfectly understandable, you're dodging the question.

Would you rather see Jake Livermore refuse to celebrate scoring against Leeds at the KC stadium, with goal music playing in the background

    Or

The club be called Hull Tigers.

Ah, but not better than average includes the very worst of the bunch, and Frazer Campbell is probably one of those.

Fair enough, I don't expect a clamour from Premier League clubs, but it doesn't change the fact that he could still do a job for us.

For the record, I think Campbell and Hernandez are way above average Championship strikers, in fact on current form, Hernandez is an exceptional one.

Forget Campbells goal record. Most strikers are reliant on their team mates to provide the chances. If we know three things about Fraizer, it's that he works hard, knows how to find space and can definitely finish.

Different players perform differently in different teams with different team mates and different approaches to the game. If Fraizer was on MOTD every week missing chance after chance ala Danny Graham then there might be a point to be had. Very few players are special enough to run rings round their enemies and create their own goals, players like Ageuro, Suarez, Sanchez. Fraizer is a good forward thinking player and if given the right service will score goals.

He's not good enough to be a main striker at the highest level, because that's not his game. He's not a presence, he's not a platform to push up the pitch, to hold the ball and keep posession. He's an off the shoulder type who likes to be played in behind the defence. But he's good enough to play a role at the highest level, specially in a team that predoimnantly plays two up top.

Besides, he's spent a hell of a lot of time playing out on the wing, so looking at goals/games is entirely misleading for that reason alone.

One of the funniest monents at BP
They tried to get to him it was excellent
