Exactly Yorkie - some people have very short term views that they base quite ridiculous comments on

If things don't improve our beloved side will keep slipping down the table ...and in the medium term we could be back in the championship .
From the start ,yesterday's side was set up with defence in mind ...a negative approach against a struggling side . We should have been more positive from kick off with Deeney further up the pitch with one or all of Abdi , Anya and Guedioura playing . ( assuming they are fit ) .
Watford fan for 40 years ....Would love Watford to stay up , but will not cry for too long if we don't ....I find premier league football pretty dull ...massed defences , constant blocking of shots . shirt pulling , defenders hugging forwards .... it's really not very entertaining , when compared to the past glory day's of open , attacking play with wingers .

I've been called a 'happy clapper' on here several times, and was one of the few to support Jokanovic's appointment, so it's not a knee-jerk reaction...

Jurado has a vital role to play in our team, he's the link between our defensive block and our strikers, yet it's not working. He loses the ball pretty much constantly, misses obvious passes and can't seem to shoot when he gets a chance. I was excited when he signed, he'd played under Flores before, had been sold for high fees and was an ex-Real player, what's not to like?

He's had plenty of time to adapt to the league now, he's been playing with his team mates for months and has started most games, yet there seems to be no sign of improvement from him...

Stick him on the bench for a few games <ok>

Maybe we need a poll? Haven't had one of those for a while

    The problem is not Jurado....

Ighalo is hardly getting a look in and TD had to play deep for the first half yesterday......

There were a number of players who made mistakes too...

Exactly, Deeney had to come back to cover Jurado's area because they were getting no supply?

I'm not saying that dropping him would make us start winning every game 4-0, for the last few games loads of players haven't turned up.

Agree, THE problem is not Jurado, but he is one of the problems. He is not delivering, surely we can all see that, a problem that is even more crucial if TD and Iggy are not getting the service they were. It needs to come from somewhere else, such as Jurado. But it's not. He's too light weight, his passing is awry and so is his shooting. Surely others can see this...can't they? Or do we have to be more patient with him?

It seems we did OK with him not contributing very much, but now we really need him to contribute. Saturday is suddenly starting to look like a must win game.

But did Denney HAVE to come back that deep, perhaps in doing so he stopped the midfield from playing their game? We are certainly missing something in midfield and for me it's width - we are playing too narrow and allowing the opposition defenders to crowd the centre of the pitch and there is no space for the strikers to work in - it's too easy to stick out a foot and break up the play. Several players had poor games last night and against Soton and they need to step up again.

I agree up to a point. Unfortunately he is hidebound by the position he has to play in to some degree.

We DO need other striking options..... everything we tried at Swansea was unsuccessful... and he did manage to get some half decent shots in....

We IMO need more variety in the game we play and more depth in the squad etc..

I fear Guadioura is a little erratic as is Anya. Abdi only good for 60 mins when we start with him

    I agree re width too....

We tended to rely on Nyom and then Paredes with Ake too on the other flank..... but not the sort of wing play I like to see..... and we were fairly predictable the way we played .....

Most of the high st bookmakers was giving 33/1 before the swans game so maybe 25/1 or 20/1

Seems to me that there's been a collective dip in form and confidence, particularly in the midfield. The result is that Deeney and Ighalo (great goal scorer, but FFS pass to a team mate when necessary :emoticon-0121-angry ) have no choice but to come deep. The problem is no bite or service in the midfield which keboshes the whole tactical plan. If any one player was to be singled out I'm afraid Jurado is it. A bit of a passenger imho who detracts from the team. Perhaps Amrabat is being brought in to fulfil the role?

:emoticon-0159-music Defences don't like him... Nordin Amrabat, Nordin Amrabat. :emoticon-0159-music to the tune of Rock the Casbah:emoticon-0138-think

The problem last night was Capoue was pushed out wide with Watson and Behrami Jurado was to link up with the front 2 and give them the service . Behrami could fill in for watson but they could not play very well together . in the 1st half they was coming down out right and Nyom was left on his own Capoue could not get back and is not that fast . Capoue is a flair player laying ball on for the front to . The 2ond half behrami was pushed wide and Capoue was back in the middle . It was better BUT Behrami and Jurado could be in the squad as cover that they cant play in our 1st 11 every week

Behrami was more questionable IMO...... He worked hard but some of the passing was very poor..

The problem was we could not hold onto the ball so they kept coming back at us.

Holding out too see what magic trickery is under that Fez. (Not you Hornet Fez, nless you have some to spare!)

A collective dip in form, this is the Prem, it is tough. One player shouldn´t be singled out, but could be dropped to give others in the squad a chance!

The mission is to stay up, we are doing well in regards to that. Now a few more draws and a couple of wins and job done!

He just seems a bit lightweight and slow but then we didn't have any pace anywhere last night and to be fair the guy did have a few shots at least!

The message boards are awash today with threads on Jurado. I cannot remember any player who has divided opinion quite so much unless I go back to Tommy Harmer. :emoticon-0101-sadsm
