Performances aside, I believe Brucey made reference in recent weeks to Akpom having a wisdom tooth problem hence leaving him out of a recent match day squad. The bottom line is the kid is a great prospect and stepping up to the Championship is a big step up from playing in Arsenals stiffs. He's missed some key chances, and whilst he's not clearly solely responsible for lost points, goals make and change games and therefore he's been rightly criticised, and now dropped. He should have gone to somewhere like Peterborough who would play him week in, and week out and aid his development more than we can. That said maybe Arsene wanted Akpom to play in the Championship?
Go to away matches ? ffs ive been to more than most on here put together down the years. What pressure for heavens sakes is he under ? He is here to score goals. His missed chances any striker should sorry would love to get. He missed them and it cost us. I know we played poorly but that was not why we lost ffs. The header @ Leeds was bad but at least 2 of the Rotherham chances were worse. For those who were at both games should know that. Anyway, it is over with. The games have gone and we move on.
I was at both games and they were both terrible team performances, singling out one player to blame, particularly when he was only a late substitute in one of those games, is a ridiculous thing to do. Though as it's you, I doubt anyone will be surprised.
The clueless on here wont be and you are there leader. The fact you say what you did shows your lack of football knowledge which to many wont be a surprise either. Akpom missed chances that would have brought us some points. If you were at the games you must have nodded off.
Just don't mention "Burnley Pie" to OLM. Especially a pie from a Chinese ? The ones @ the cricket ground are actually quite nice.
