And wasn't Fraeye the brains behind Jose success the last time If you look at Peeters and Rigas records from same number of games they are pretty similar so miracle man is a myth

Peeters had a better team IMO. The midfield was stronger with Bulot and Buyens, and whilst I didn't like TBH he certainly was a good player for us.

All 3 would walk straight back in to the team. Oh, and a certain Joe Gomez was apart of the squad also.

Don't forget we had two excellent players in Igor and JBG! Absolute shadows of what they were.

JBG can f**k off in this window for all I care. He's been utter pony and looked totally disinterested.

He's a classic fair weather player in my opinion. Not what we need when we're up to our necks in s**t...!!

Some of you people have a very selective memory. Bulot was total dross for twenty or so appearances. He had a late flurry of three good games out of his final five, but generally he would fit in well with the present shower. Typical parasitical winger. Unless someone gave him a pinpoint pass out wide it was like playing with ten men. Compare Wilson on the other flank. Always in the game, harassing, tackling, looking for the ball rather than waiting for a perfect pass.

I never rated Bluot either. The only player I liked that came from Liège was Ajdarević. May have lacked fitness, but least he was good, scored a couple and used to put in some excellent crosses (QPR game).

It's not a selective memory at all. He blew hot and cold prior to the African Nations - but I think a fair comment would be he was finding his feet. After all he joined on transfer deadline day so didn't have the 7 weeks the other signings were afforded.

Once he returned his performances were probably in the top 3. His final few games weren't memorable, but I think we won 1 in the last 6 odd games - fair to say the performances dropped once survival was ensured. By all of the squad <ok>

I agree and disagree Franco. I agree he is a fair weather player and not ideal for the battle ahead- but think that if we are to get out of this mess we are going to need JBG and him playing well to pull us out. He was my POTY last season simply because when he was not on the pitch, we had 0 threat- and its very similar this year, if he doesn't play well (which he's not), the team shows zero creativity
